History of Incline Village

Incline Village, a development project situated in Duluth, Minnesota, is spearheaded by Incline Plaza Development LLC. This company is renowned for other notable projects, such as Endi Apartments, the Lighthouse for the Blind, and Kenwood Village Apartments Incline Village is being developed on the old Duluth Central High School site, which was purchased and demolished in 2022. The area is set to be transformed into a mixed-use space featuring residential, retail, and office facilities. This venture aims to revitalize the neighborhood and enhance its economic, entertainment, and recreational prospects by addressing the pressing need for new housing solutions
Echoing the strategy implemented in projects like the Endi Building, Incline Village is a targeted effort to alleviate the local housing shortage, offering high-end and affordable accommodations Along with creating new living spaces, the project includes extensive infrastructural enhancements such as new roads and utility services. Incline Village is positioned on a hillside and offers picturesque views of Lake Superior and downtown Duluth, making it an attractive location for residents and visitors. The development will feature a public pavilion with city views, a variety of retail and entertainment options, co-working spaces, and access to hiking, walking, and biking trails.

The groundbreaking ceremony in December 2024 marked a significant milestone for Incline Village, attended by local dignitaries such as Duluth Mayor Roger Reinert, City Councilor Roz Randorf, and Senator Grant Hauschild. Celebrated as the second-largest private development in Duluth’s history, the project represents years of meticulous planning and collaboration.
