he Culture for Development Indicators (CDIS) show the stimulating and leading role of culture in sustainable development. Thanks to the innovative methodology, this instrument of advocacy and policy through facts and figures examines the multidimensional relationship between culture and development.
The analysis of seven key dimensions of culture and development, through the assessment of 22 key indicators, responds to the needs and circumstances of low and middle-income countries.
The CDIS methodology is the result of a four years research process (2009 – 2013). By the end of 2018, it was tested and implemented in 14 countries around the world, demonstrating its potential of impact on policy.
