FitchConnect Overview

Fitch Connect provides financials and ratings on thousands of banking and financial institutions globally.

Standardized financial data on over 33,000 private and public banks across 200 countries,   

Up to 10 years of history Each bank statement incudes up to 550 data points per bank, 50 pre-calculated ratios and access to the original source filing Annual and interim financial data for the largest 3,200 banks are available within 48 hours of filing

Interactive Charts

Interactive Charts functionality allows users to explore, extract and visualise the historical data on the Fitch Connect platform. It allows you to create, download and share fully customized charts to meet your requirements or download underlying content using the Download Data as Excel button wherever data has been selected. Use Interactive Charts on your existing Portfolio and apply Custom View very easily to view the data required.

Data Definitions You can use the Find Data Definitions box at the bottom of the page to see lists of terminology used by Fitch.

View Fitch Ratings Definitions will allow you to link to a PDF document explaining the different ratings and rating scales used by Fitch.

Guide on Interactive charts

Interactive Charts

Open any web browser and go to https://app.fitchconnect.com/ 1.

Login with the credentials provided by the KMC. (kindly request to kmc if you do not have it)

To use Interactive Charts, click on the Data Tools tab then choose “Interactive Charts”.

Find Entities/Geographies: Select the “Entities” tab or “Geographies” on the left of the page.

Entities are discovered using type ahead functionality requiring a minimum of 3 characters. A Relevancy tool is utilized to bring the most likely matches to the top of the suggested entities.

Entities are selected by clicking on the entity name.

Geographies are selected by clicking the country name/region.

Find Data Items: Select the Data Items tab on the left of the page. Data items are discovered by navigating the tree or using the type ahead.

Clicking on the checkbox will select the data item or group of data items indicated.

Click “Proceed” for next step.

The data item you can select will be dependent based on KMC’s subscription entitlement.

Select Dates: Choose either a range of dates or select them manually. Interactive Charts is a powerful feature that allows you to view the historical data of up to 30 years or up to when data became available whichever is longer.

Click “Proceed” to view the data.

Visualise: Choose to view your data and visualise using over 20 types of charts or simply “Download the data as Excel.”

Select the following fields you want to include in the Excel file.

Next, click “Download”.
