the Galápagos Islands

Luxury Yachting in

virtually inaccessible , the galápagos Islands lie 600 miles off the coast of Ecuador. Only the few animals that could fly, swim, or survive without fresh water managed the open-ocean journey. Tortoises, lizards, seabirds, and a handful of land birds were favored; most terrestrial mammals had no chance. Without land predators, the surviving species lost any fear of land mammals, including humans, much to the delight of visitors.

The Galápagos yacht experience

The best way to visit the islands

cruising the galápagos islands with a few like-minded travelers on a luxurious yacht is an exclusive, exceptional experience. You can savor the wonders of the natural world without the chaos of crowds and visit more of the smaller, intimate sites that large ships simply cannot or are not permitted to go.

Going ashore is easy and uncomplicated with such a small group. Your natural-

ist is always close by, so you can clearly hear descriptions, explanations and anecdotes about the remarkable sights that you see, and have your questions answered.

Integrity can accommodate serendipitous moments like the sighting of whales, orcas, Mola mola, penguins, and schools of dolphins. Your naturalist guide can adjust the timing of our shore visits and snorkels

to reflect wildlife movements, weather, and the desires of the group.

Whether you're a single traveler, a couple, a multi-generational family, or a group looking to charter, the 16-passenger Integrity and her team can offer you a truly extraordinary experience and a rich, personal connection with nature.

Our guides make scientific and historical knowledge come to life with humor and insights gained through years of interpreting the natural history of these remote, special places. Articulate and personable, the guides aboard Integrity make congenial companions.

Yacht Itineraries

the galápagos national park service sets the itineraries for all vessels, including Integrity. To reduce visitor impact on popular sites, no yacht may visit any site more than once every two weeks. Yacht owners the Sievers family—read about the Sievers on the last page—have selected two of the most compelling and efficient itineraries possible for Integrity. Each Integrity cruise begins with a day on Santa Cruz Island, finding giant tortoises in the wild and exploring the Charles Darwin Research Station, before embarking on a week long journey through the islands. By spending extra time on Santa Cruz before boarding the yacht, Integrity can then spend more time cruising to some of the more rewarding visitors sites on outlying islands—an option not available on any other one week cruise.

The Western Route features the younger, active islands of Isabela and Fernandina, whereas the Eastern Route features the older islands of Española, San Cristóbal, and Genovesa. On many islands, you’ll explore more than one visitor site and have plenty of opportunities to snorkel and kayak.

Excellence inside and out

integrity , the first galápagos yacht designed with integrated stabilizers was built in the US and completely refitted for Galápagos cruising by the Sievers family themselves. Continual maintenance, annual dry-dock, regular upgrades, and frequent remodels keep Integrity in top shape.

Integrity is the most environmentally conscious yacht in the Galápagos, earning the Galápagos Quality Gold Seal for its practices, including on-board treatment of all waste water.

Two electronically controlled, vibration isolated Detroit/MTU 4-stroke diesel engines, provide smooth cruising that’s environmentally friendly. Two generators provide sufficient electrical power to easily support the air conditioning, walkin freezer and refrigerator, extensive electronic systems, water makers, and on-board wastewater treatment plant.

Unparalleled commitment to conservation, safety and quality are the hallmarks of Integrity’s operation.

Rolf Sievers and family— perfectionists in the art of Galápagos cruising

integrity–that’s what the galápagos resident and owner Rolf Sievers is all about. Immigrating from Germany with his parents at age 20, he helped his family scratch out a homestead in the rough volcanic land long before such luxuries as electricity, running water, or medical services came to the Galápagos Islands.

Rolf got his first job ($80 per month) tending the seismograph at the Charles Darwin Station in 1964. He quickly became manager of the station, a position he held for a decade before leaving in 1978 to start small yacht tours of the

beloved islands he calls home.

Today, more than 40 years later, he, his wife Rosaura, and their two sons, Dirk and Christian, own, operate, and maintain the yachts Integrity and Reina Silvia from their base in Puerto Ayora. The German penchant for perfection will be evident in every aspect of your journey.

Rolf believes, “If you have integrity, nothing else matters, if you don’t have integrity, nothing else matters.”
