Plan Your Week You may find that planning your week out is a great help, although some people may find planning a month at a time, or even a day at a time works better. Of course, life happens, things come up and change, but at least you will have a sense of what is going on for the day. Try to arrange appointments on an off day, or before/after your work day. Doing so will save those vacation hours, and save time having to fill out forms to request time off. Get a sense of what meals you are going to have for the week. Be sure to make time for each member of your immediate family, even if you have to schedule it in. Also, don’t overlook yourself, everyone needs some “me” time as well. Organizing Tips Some great organization skills can save more time than you realize, and can turn those rushed mornings into a great start to everyone's day. Set your alarm 15 minutes earlier. Those extra few minutes can make a big difference, and cut down on the mad rush to get out the door. Put a last minute box near the door. This can be a shelf, table, or a module type box. Keep essentials in this area: shoes, lunch containers, handbags, anything you always need at the last minute.
