Service and Maintenance Maintenance as a basis for continuity and life time: Continual maintenance of measurement, control and alarm instruments and systems is of great importance to the continuity of your business activities. Maintenance offers certainty about proper functioning of your indispensable systems, so that you will not unfortunately experience problems that could have been avoided. Next to that, increasing legislation and regulation cause maintenance to be a necessity in order to meet all requirements.

I&C Services knows from experience that therefore many users consider reliable maintenance a big advantage.

Maintenance is required to guarantee proper functioning of your systems and in addition to expand their life time.

It also prevents system failure. I&C Services offers you an organized maintenance schedule, with good value for money, to ensure all systems keep functioning properly.

Calibration and Certification High-grade calibration equipment: Next to maintaining all of your measurement, control and alarm instruments it is important to have them checked, calibrated and certified. There is also legislation and regulation regarding calibration. Therefore, your equipment must work within the proper calibration range at all times.

This is also necessary to guarantee the safety of people concerned. I&C Services uses high-grade calibration equipment, tested and calibrated annually by qualified and approved organizations.

Calibration and certification: The way we calibrate and certify your instruments and systems is therefore reliable, maintained with high standards and technically competent. We can calibrate systems and instruments on site –anywhere in the world- or in our work shop.

Service and Support

Repairs Repairs can be combined with maintenance, but sudden repairs represent a large part of our work as well. It is very unfortunate if you suddenly have to interrupt your activities caused by mechanical failure of vital systems. That is why I&C Services has a flexible working method, enabling service engineers to be available immediately to carry out (urgent) repairs and to get your systems, installations, measurement and control instruments certified. This way, you know for sure that the problems are solved quickly and with expertise, both home ànd abroad.

Strategic spare parts are kept in stock to make sure urgent repairs are executed efficiently. In most cases, I&C Services’ engineers are on site within 24 hours. This depends partly on traveling distance and available flights.

Installation and Commissioning Installation and commissioning at the highest level: Being on the way for so long, I&C Services evades no difficulties anymore, it doesn’t have to either. Installing systems and installations on newly build ships and replacing or modifying installations on existing vessels is only our starting point. From there, I&C Services navigates to any requested or required level. We herewith either approach the situation by discussing your demands, needs and data and if necessary, we will give you further advise, òr you simply share your story with us and let us handle and fix the ‘problem’. Sensitron SMART 3 Gasdetection Sensors

The PL4+ gas control unit represents the best technology for the detection of flammable, toxic or Oxygen compounds in small systems. The PL4+ has 4 analog 4-20 mA inputs that can be extended to 8 by using the 4-input expansion board PL4/ESP, easy to plug in the control unit. The panel is housed in IP65 ABS box with a 12Vdc 1.5 A power supply integrated.Â

SMART3G series gas detectors are employed to detect flammable compounds (%LEL), toxic compounds (ppm) and Oxygen contents for both depletion and enrichment in classified areas. The Pellistor sensors employed for the flammable detection show an excellent output linearity up to 100% LEL. For aggressive atmospheres, where the Pellistor sensors would be seriously damaged, Sensitron developed a version employing industrial grade Infrared sensors: IR sensors are poison free and this grants a higher accuracy and a longer lifetime to the cell. For the toxic gas detection, Sensitron has operated a reliable selection among the most performing electrochemical cells to supply units representing the state of the art in toxic gas detection. The SMART3G line has been designed to offer a wide range of alternatives that grant customers the best to their requirements.

Sensitron Multiscan++S1 The MULTISCAN++S1 are advanced multifunction gas detection control panel designed to meet with the increasing requests for highly flexible systems. A powerful microprocessor allows a wide range of selftesting facilities to take place to detect and localize possible failures. The system allows the connection of gas detectors and remote input/output modules via 2 open loops to be extended up to 4. The control panels can manage and monitor up to 256 gas detectors. These can either be addressable detectors, daisy chained on the available loops, or analog type with 4-20mA transmission, connected via remote 8 input cards STG/IN8-S. The system architecture includes 8 preset relays onboard the units and the possibility to have further 256 open collector outputs via remote STG/OUT16-S output cards. To these cards it is possible to connect 8-relays boards, should relay outputs be required.

Sensitron SMART 3 Display Gasdetection Sensors Designed to meet with the toughest industrial requirements, SMART S-SS allow monitoring toxic and flammable contents in harsh environments. Green Instruments G1000 Smoke Density Monitoring Green Instruments started – at that time under the name SBS Technology – with a simple but effective opacity meter measuring the blackness of exhaust gas.

The G1000 is a particularly robust system well suited for the tough marine environment. It warns the crew if the combustion of a boiler, incinerator, or engine is poorly adjusted thus leading to the emission of black smoke.

Green Instruments G4100 NOx/O2 Analyzing System

The G4100 NOX/ O2 Analyzing System is a practical and direct in-situ gas analyzer for onboard monitoring of NOX concentrations. This analyzer uses a new zirconia sensor technology, which provides a cost-effective solution to fulfill tightening emission regulations as well as to support the most effective operation for both diesel engines and boilers.

The G4100 NOX/O2 Analyzing System is designed for direct measurement and monitoring of NOX emissions in accordance with Annex VI of MARPOL 73/78, the NOX Technical Code, and the Guidelines for OnBoard NOX Verification Procedure (MEPC.103 (49).

Green Instruments G49xx Recording and visualization Systems G4900 Recording & Visualization System This module gives you data logging & recording capacity for all G4100 NOX/O2 Analyzing Systems as well as a simple visualization via a medium-sized touch screen. Furthermore this module converts the NOX emissions from ppm to g/kWh as requires by MARPOL Annex VI and subsequent regulations. The calculations are based on predefined values unless specific data is provided.

G490 MARPOL Reporting System This module extends the G4900 Recording & Visualization System with all the necessary inputs, sensors, and documentation, required for a fully approved reporting system. This module is relevant if the vessel’s NOX technical file is updated or if an equivalent procedure is required for other flag state requirements, class notations, or similar approvals.

G4902 Extended Visualization & Reporting System This module extends the G4900 Recording & Visualization System with a larger panel PC. This opens for a wide range or customized visualizations and reports e.g. reports concerning specific NOX reduction targets.

Headway ECDIS Headway® ECDIS is developed strictly according to IEC, IMO and IHO requirements and specifications.

The system is able to combine with AIS, GPS, ARPA, Gyro Compass, Speed Log, Echo Sounder, Autopilot and other communication and navigation equipments, so as to deal with varieties of information, including maritime geography, sailing states of this vessel, navigation environment and dynamics of a number of target vessels. Totem Bridge Alert Management System

Totemplus BNWAS monitors bridge activity and raises alarm if the Officer On Watch (OOW) becomes incapable of performing the OOW’s duties. The system complies with MSC.128 (75) and IEC62616 Ed.1 from Feb. 2010.

Totem Bridge Alert Management System (BAMS) presents bridge alarms and warnings on one central panel, and enables easy identification of the source as well as rapid silencing of the audible alarm. The BAMS is type approved by GL, is in accordance with latest IMO resolutions: MSC.302(87); MSC.252(83); IEC 61924 ed.2; A.694 (17); MSC.1021(26) ; DNV NAUT-OSV. The system can be installed on any type of vessel.

BAMS can be operated in 3 different modes: Sea mode (default), Silent mode (no audible alarms) or Anchor mode (alert if position drifted etc. The system can be integrated (option) with Totem Navigation Bridge Watch Alarm System (Totem BNWAS).

Martek BNWAS Martek Navgard™ is a Bridge Navigational Watch Alarm System (BNWAS) specifically designed to comply with SOLAS Regulation V/19 as amended by MSC.282(86) requiring a BNWAS to be installed on all new and existing ships.

The system also meets the requirements of the performance standards set out by MSC.128(75) & IEC 62616.

GMIMinerva PS200 Fire Portable Gasdetector Tyco detection systems Marine Approved A robust and accurate portable gas detector, the Personal Surveyor (PS200 Series) provides unrivalled protection in confined space applications with audible and visual alarms in the event of exposure to flammable or toxic gases. Detecting and displaying up to 4 gases simultaneously, PS200 is suitable for a host of applications in a variety of industries. The PS200 can be configured to detect a combination of Methane, Oxygen, Carbon Monoxide, Hydrogen Sulphide, as well as other flammable gases.

GMI Ship Surveyor Portable Gasdetector Marine Approved The Shipsurveyor was designed after extensive consultation with shipowners, ship managers and shipping personnel. The result is a range of 8 instruments dedicated to the marine market. The Shipsurveyor is versatile yet simple to use. The feature-rich range of instruments are suitable for all marine applications including confined space monitoring, cargo monitoring and inerting. Up to 5 gases can be simultaneously measured and displayed. The hydrocarbon range, which utilises the latest infrared technology, can be calibrated with Butane, Propane or Methane, depending on application.

GMI PS1 Single Gas Monitor The PS1 monitors a single gas, for a variety of applications. Widely used in the oil and gas industry, this rugged, extremely lightweight and accurate monitor clips easily onto a collar or vest.

This puts the instrument near the breathing zone for maximum user protection and safety. Audible, visual, and vibrating alarms alert the user, should gas be present and alarms can be latching until the user acknowledges that an alarm is present.

GMI PS500 Multi Gas Monitor The PS500 can be tailored to detect up to five gases with its toxic and catalytic sensors, photo ionisation detectors and infrared capabilities. ‘Plug and Play’ option allows the customer to ‘plug in’ a new board with a different gas range. The PS500 is particularly useful in noisy environments, featuring a very loud (95dBA) penetrating and distinctive audible alarm together with high visibility large area visual alarm. Pump, diffusion or both together, allowing pumped sample for pre-entry checking and diffusion in confined space working, thus maximising battery life. A robust, moulded, rubberised casing guaranteeing Hi-Impact resistance, the PS500 can be used in the most demanding environments.

All MMC systems are manufactured in the United States and are certified as intrinsically safe by Factory Mutual, BASEEFA, CSA and SAA. The Portable Closed Flexi-Dip measuring tape is a battery-operated electronic unit that is totally gas-tight. When installed in a vapor-control valve mounted on a storage (cargo) tank, it forms a tightly sealed system that prevents toxic vapors from escaping and creates a closed gauging system for that tank. The tape is marked in metric or english units and is anti-static coated (as is the sensor). In addition, the tape is color marked to make tape direction and motion easily seen and to ensure full rewind position. A coiled grounding cable with large alligator clip is standard. This closed system is recognized by many worldwide regulatory bodies as equivalent to a fixed gauging system as long as the tape remains in the valve from the beginning until the end of loading or discharging of the tank.
