North Zealand – Castle Tour (7hrs)

In the morning meet your local guide for a 7-hour excursion by private coach. This tour combines visits to two of Denmark’s most famous castles as well as a drive through the lovely countryside of North Sealand. The first visit is to the town of Hillerød and Frederiksborg Castle (Entrance fee included), built during 1600-1620 by King Christian IV. The Castle is built on an island in the middle of a lake; and now houses the Museum of Danish National History. The visit includes the museum with its treasures, the Chapel and the Knight’s Hall. Continue to Fredensborg and the summer residence of the Danish Royal Family situated in a beautiful park on the edge of Lake Esrum. Continue the short drive to Helsingør where lunch will be served in a local restaurant. After lunch we visit Kronborg Castle, made famous in Shakespeare’s tragedy “Hamlet”. Visit the Chapel and the spectacular Knight’s Hall. From the old bastions there is a magnificent view of the Swedish coastline just across the Sound . Return to Copenhagen along the “Danish Riviera” with a lovely view of the Danish and Swedish coasts. Copenhagen City Tour (3hrs)

This panoramic tour takes you through the heart of the city, passing Tivoli Gardens, the Town Hall Square, Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek, the National Museum and over the canal passing Christiansborg Palace, the home of the Danish Parliament. Continue on past the world‘s oldest Royal Stock Exchange and the NavalChurch. Arriving at Kongens Nytorv, the home of the Royal Danish Ballet to your right, and “Strøget”, the famous pedestrian street, to your left. Continue along Nyhavn, which was noisy taverns, and tattoo parlors for the sailors in the old days, but now equally noisy outdoor cafes and trendy restaurants, very popular with tourists and Danes alike. Further on we pass the Queen’s residence, Amalienborg Palace and on to the Little Mermaid where there is a photo stop. Back in the coach and on to Rosenborg Castle, where such treasures as the Queen’s Jewels and the Crown Regalia are to be found. Copenhagen City & Canal Tour (3 hrs)

The Coach will drive you to the Pier and start your morning canal cruise tour. You will experience different sightseeing which can be best viewed from the canals and the sea. The old naval base, the Canon Boat Huts. The new affluent quarter, and the cozy Christianshavn, the Church of our Savior and the Black Diamond at the Royal Library. After the canal cruise continue your sightseeing tour with your guide on a walking tour into the old and charming part of Copenhagen. The introduction to Copenhagen takes you through the heart of the city, passing Tivoli Gardens, the Town Hall Square, Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek, the National Museum and over the canal past Christiansborg Palace, the home of the Danish Parliament. You will also pass the world‘s oldest Royal Stock Exchange and the Naval Church. Back in the coach and on to Rosenborg Castle, where such treasures as the Queen’s Jewels and the Crown Regalia are to be found. Afterwards you will visit the Carlsberg Brewery Visitors’ Centre, which depicts not only the history and growth of Denmark’s largest brewery but also explains the processes by which the cool, amber fluids are being produced.
