Family Days: Poetry in Motion, American Mural Project, 90 Whiting Street, Winsted. AMP’s Family Days offer an exciting lineup of hands-on activities for children of all ages. Games, storytimes, art projects, and interactive learning programs spark kids’ curiosity and creativity—and celebrate the art of work. 10am – 5 pm

Kids Art Workshop: Uniquely Me, Mattatuck Museum, 144 West Main Street, Waterbury. Well, let’s find out in this hands-on workshop! We’ll put our identities on display as we create expressive self-portraits. We’ll split our self-portrait and shape the two sides of our identity: who we are on the inside and who we are on the outside. Pug’s Place by Jerry Harney, Ballard Institute and Museum of Puppetry, 1 Royce Cir, Storrs. The runtime of the film is approximately 35 minutes. This film is recommended for ages 12+. Following the screening of the film there will be a brief talkback with creator Jerry Harney, moderated by UConn Puppet Arts Visiting Assistant Professor in Residence Matt Sorensen. 7pm

Badger Meets the Fairies by Margaret Moody Puppets, Ballard Institute and Museum of Puppetry, 1 Royce Circle, Storrs. Join Margaret Moody for an exciting puppet show based on European fairy lore and Margaret Moody’s expertise in Chinese hand-puppet techniques. 11am & 2pm

4th annual Harwinton Lions Club Horse Show, Rose Meadow Stables, 280 South Road, Harwinton. On Sunday, April 19, 2026, the show will feature both English and Western Dressage at the Rose Meadow Stables, LLC, 280 South Road, Harwinton, CT. Proceeds from the show will benefit various Harwinton Lions Club charities. Admission is $5. Children 12-years-old and under are free. 9am – 5pm
