Un mensaje de nuestra presidenta
¡Bienvenidos a ENTRELIBROS 2025!
Es un honor inmenso abrir las puertas de la tercera edición de nuestro festival con un tema que nos toca el alma: la poesía. Durante los meses de octubre y noviembre, el Museo de Coral Gables se convierte en un refugio donde los versos se entrelazan con las imágenes y los sueños se visten de color.
La inauguración será el 15 de octubre; abriremos las puertas con trece editoriales invitadas, seguida por nuestra querida jornada profesional ENTRELÍNEAS el día 16, dedicada este año a explorar el poder transformador de la poesía en la literatura infantil. Y, del 17 al 19 de octubre, el festival desplegará toda su vitalidad con talleres, presentaciones, cuentacuentos, firmas de libros y encuentros que celebran la imaginación de los niños y el valor de nuestra lengua compartida.
En esta edición, la exposición “Verso y Color” invita a descubrir cómo la poesía se convierte en imagen, y cómo las ilustraciones abren ventanas hacia mundos donde los niños encuentran su primera experiencia poética.
Decía Federico García Lorca: “La poesía no quiere adeptos, quiere amantes.” Que este festival nos recuerde que cada libro ilustrado y cada verso son semillas que florecen en el corazón de quienes los leen con amor. Gracias al apoyo de nuestros aliados, ENTRELIBROS 2025 sigue siendo gratuito, abierto a familias, educadores, artistas y todos los que creen en la fuerza de las palabras para acercarnos y hacernos mejores.

A message from our president
Welcome to ENTRELIBROS 2025!
It is a profound honor to open the third edition of our festival with a theme that touches the soul: poetry. During these days, the Coral Gables Museum becomes a haven where verses intertwine with images and dreams are dressed in color.
The opening will be on October 15, with thirteen International Publishers participating, followed by our professional development day ENTRELÍNEAS on October 16, dedicated this year to exploring the transformative power of poetry in children’s literature. And from October 17 to 19, the festival will unfold in full vitality with workshops, presentations, storytelling sessions, book signings, and encounters that celebrate children’s imagination and the value of our shared language.
This year’s exhibition, “Verso y Color,” invites us to discover how poetry transforms into images, and how illustrations open windows into worlds where children encounter their first poetic experiences. As Federico García Lorca once said: “Poetry does not want followers, it wants lovers.” May this festival remind us that every illustrated book and every verse are seeds that bloom in the hearts of those who read them with love.

Synopsis: This illustrated book gathers some poems by Emeterio Gutiérrez Albelo, a forgotten poet from Tenerife who belonged to the Generation of ’27 and the avant-garde movements of the early 20th century. Despite his political affiliations during the Spanish Civil War, Albelo reveals himself as a poet with a powerful synthetic vision, capable of exploring profound depths with an extraordinary spirituality. The simplicity of the verses collected here, under the supervision of writer Ernesto Rodríguez Abad, is just a glimpse of the strength of his voice and the vividness of his imagery.

Description: Children will be guided through a poetic journey inspired by the book Todos los árboles, algunos árboles. The workshop begins with the presentation of the book and the observation of its accordion-style illustrations, followed by the reading of several poems that encourage conversation about the sensations and images they evoke. Through a guided meditation called “Become a Tree”, participants will explore, using movement and breathing, what a tree might feel or hear. Afterwards, each child will create their own tree-poem: drawing either a real or imaginary tree and pairing it with a poetic phrase. The session concludes with a shared reading of these poems and the creation of a collective mural that gathers the forest imagined by all.

El Miami Children’s Storytelling Festival 2025, creado por IMAGO POR LAS ARTES, celebra el poder de la narración al presentar cuentos originales creados y narrados en español por niñ@s de entre 7 y 14 años con raíces hispanas. Este inspirador programa tiene como objetivo preservar la tradición oral como una parte esencial de nuestro patrimonio cultural, al tiempo que empodera a jóvenes narradores para que den rienda suelta a toda su creatividad.
Armour Dance Theatre ofrece formación en danza a más de 850 estudiantes anualmente, con casi 600 becados en cinco ubicaciones. A través de nuestros programas, trabajamos para eliminar obstáculos y utilizar la danza como un vehículo hacia el éxito. Durante las últimas tres décadas, nuestros programas han crecido en alcance e impacto. Creemos que la danza es simplemente el vehículo que transporta a los niños a través de puertas que maximizan sus opciones en la vida.
