Ample metered public parking is available on the streets near the museum. You can also park in the public garage in front of the museum (220 Aragon Ave, Coral Gables, FL 33134), next to Coral Gables Cinema.
Public transportation:
You can get to the museum using the Coral Gables Trolley, shared vehicles, Freebee Coral Gables, or the Metrorail to the DOUGLAS ROAD & S DIXIE HWY station.
Security:
The Coral Gables Museum is a safe place to enjoy this event, but in case of an emergency, there are hospitals, fire and police stations nearby in the city of Coral Gables.

¡Bienvenidos a ENTRELIBROS 2024!
Nos llena de profunda emoción invitarlos a la segunda y aún más vibrante edición de esta maravillosa celebración literaria. Este año, no solo seguimos con nuestra tradición de promover la cultura, el idioma y la literatura hispana, sino que también hemos añadido nuevas y emocionantes experiencias para ampliar el alcance de nuestro festival.
Una de nuestras novedades es el Día de Desarrollo Profesional—una oportunidad única para que educadores, autores y amantes de la literatura mejoren sus habilidades, compartan ideas y construyan conexiones. Su participación nos ayudará a elevar el papel de la literatura en la formación de las mentes de los niños y jóvenes, reafirmando nuestro compromiso con la educación a través de las artes.
Además, ENTRELIBROS 2024 ofrecerá una hermosa combinación de danza, música y teatro, entrelazada con nuestra programación literaria. Esta fusión de formas artísticas busca crear una experiencia inmersiva para todos, trascendiendo la narración y enriqueciendo nuestra comprensión de la poderosa conexión entre la literatura y las artes escénicas.
También estamos emocionados de presentar la exposición de ilustraciones “Arte entre páginas”, que muestra cómo la literatura infantil es el primer contacto de los niños con el arte.
Este año, el festival se celebrará en el Museo de Coral Gables, del 18 al 20 de octubre de 2024. Durante estos tres días, celebraremos la belleza de la literatura en español con talleres, presentaciones, firmas de libros y sesiones de cuentacuentos, diseñados para despertar la curiosidad y traer a la vida el placer de la lectura.

Welcome to ENTRELIBROS 2024!
We are thrilled to invite you to the second and even more vibrant edition of this wonderful literary celebration. This year, we are not only continuing our tradition of promoting Hispanic culture, language, and literature but also adding new, exciting experiences to expand our festival’s reach.
One of our exciting additions is Professional Development Day—a unique opportunity for educators, authors, and literary lovers to enhance their skills, share insights, and build connections. Your participation will help us elevate the role of literature in shaping the minds of children and youth, reinforcing our commitment to education through the arts.
In addition, ENTRELIBROS 2024 will offer a beautiful blend of dance, music, and theater, all woven into our literary programming. This fusion of art forms aims to create an immersive experience for all, transcending storytelling and enriching our understanding of the powerful connection between literature and the performing arts.
We are also excited to present the “Arte entre páginas” illustration exhibition, showcasing how children’s literature serves as their first contact with art.
This year, the festival will be held at the Coral Gables Museum, from October 18 to October 20, 2024. During these three days, we will celebrate the beauty of Spanish-language literature with workshops, presentations, book signings, and storytime sessions, all designed to spark curiosity and bring the joy of reading to life.

Synopsis: One day, a friend sent me a photo via WhatsApp of her daughter standing next to a white wall full of scribbles. The little girl was looking at the floor after being caught red-handed drawing on the wall of the new apartment they were about to move into. Below the photo, her mother wrote: ‘Please, tell me she has talent.’ This book was born from that photo and that message. Casa museo is dedicated to the mothers, fathers, and teachers who do everything they can to let their children and students express themselves without clipping their wings. And to those children, like Martina, who love to color outside the lines and think only of playing, creating, and having fun.

In a final act of self-sacrifice, the tree lets the boy cut it down so he can build a boat to sail away. Many years later, the boy, now an old man, returns, and the tree says, “I have nothing left to give you.” The boy replies that all he needs is a quiet place to sit and rest while he waits for death. The tree happily grants him this favor.

He started with his friends, but Georgette the giraffe’s neck was too long and he slipped while hugging her; and Jerry the goldfish was too wet. He tried with other animals, but none seemed to be the ideal partner: their hugs were too soft, too wild, or too tight. Desperate, he decided to place an ad in the newspaper, announcing a hug day in the park. The following Saturday, all the animals gathered in the park, determined to give the perfect hug.

Luego el autor del libro les enseñará a ilustrar a uno de los protagonistas del libro y por último, trabajaremos sobre una hoja donde dibujaremos primero un árbol de grandes raíces expuestas (igual que en el libro) y algunos animales que habitan alrededor, incluyendo el coatí que aprendimos a dibujar. Después, doblando la parte inferior de la hoja hasta cierto punto “inundaremos” la ilustración y en una hoja aparte dibujaremos peces, ranas, tortugas, serpientes, caimanes, etc.
Description: In this workshop, we will get to know the friendly coatis and their jungle environment. To do this, we will begin by reading the introduction of the coati book to set the context. Then, the author of the book will teach us how to illustrate one of the book’s protagonists. Finally, we will work on a sheet where we will first draw a tree with large exposed roots (just like in the book) and some animals that live around it, including the coati we learned to draw. Afterward, by folding the bottom part of the sheet up to a certain point, we will “flood” the illustration, and on a separate sheet, we will draw fish, frogs, turtles, snakes, caimans, etc.

Armour Dance Theatre ofrece formación en danza a más de 850 estudiantes anualmente, con casi 600 becados en cinco ubicaciones. A través de nuestros programas, trabajamos para eliminar obstáculos y utilizar la danza como un vehículo hacia el éxito. Durante las últimas tres décadas, nuestros programas han crecido en alcance e impacto. Creemos que la danza es simplemente el vehículo que transporta a los niños a través de puertas que maximizan sus opciones en la vida. Nos llena de alegría cuando uno de nuestros graduados es aceptado en una compañía de danza importante; sin embargo, nuestro objetivo final es brindarles a los niños opciones más allá de sus limitaciones actuales.
Armour Dance Theatre provides dance training to over 850 students annually, with nearly 600 on scholarship in five locations. Through our programs, we work to remove obstacles and use dance as a vehicle to success. Over the last three decades, our programs have grown in scope and impact. We believe dance is merely the vehicle that transports children through doors that maximize their options in life. We are thrilled when one of our graduates is accepted into a major dance company; however, our ultimate goal is to give children choices beyond their present limitations.

“En el país de la cocina” - Artefactus

El País de la Cocina está habitado por los utensilios usados para preparar las comidas y conservarlas: espumaderas, cuchillos, tenedores, sartenes... y también un refrigerador, una estufa, un lavavajillas... Allí cada uno cumple su rol, y su “país” permanece pulcro y muy ordenado, y todos viven en armonía... hasta que aparece un inesperado visitante.
El juguete teatral “En el País de la Cocina”, escrito por Antonio Orlando Rodríguez y Sergio Andricaín, alerta, a chicos y a grandes, sobre los peligros de la intolerancia, del rechazo al diferente y de la falta de empatía, y lo hace de una manera lúdica y apelando a la fantasía y el humor. Es una obra de teatro concebida para que el público, a la vez que se divierte, reflexione sobre aquellas cosas que nos alejan y nos hacen rechazar a quienes no conocemos, y nos negamos a conocer, sin reparar en lo que tenemos en común con ellos.
The Land of the Kitchen is inhabited by the utensils used for preparing and storing food: skimmers, knives, forks, pans... and also a refrigerator, a stove, a dishwasher... Each one plays its role, keeping their “land” spotless and orderly, and everyone lives in harmony… until an unexpected visitor arrives.
The theatrical play In the Land of the Kitchen, written by Antonio Orlando Rodríguez and Sergio Andricaín, warns both children and adults about the dangers of intolerance, rejecting those who are different, and the lack of empathy. It does so in a playful way, appealing to fantasy and humor. This play is designed to entertain the audience while encouraging reflection on the things that divide us and make us reject those we don’t know—and refuse to know—without recognizing what we have in common.
