Nuestras productos MAKALA, tanto los Snacks como el producto para Food Service, son naturalmente dulces, ya que tienen como base puré de banano.

El cual es cultivado en tierras altas con un rico suelo volcánico de nuestra propia finca cerca del Volcán Turrialba. Cosechados y seleccionados a mano, utilizamos un banano más pequeño, más dulce y más delicado que la variedad Cavendish de piel dura y alta producción que prevalece en los supermercados.

El sabor dominante se obtiene al agregar a esta suave y dulce base de banano, la cantidad apropiada de otra fruta o verdura: maracuyá, guayaba, uchuva, remolacha, zanahoria y jengibre, etc. Lleva un proceso cuidadoso de deshidratación para preservar los nutrientes de la mezcla.

OUR SECRET...

Our MAKALA products, both Snacks and the Food Service product, are naturally sweetened, since they are based on mashed bananas. It is cultivated in the highlands on the rich volcanic soil of our own farm near the Turrialba Volcano. It is harvested and selected by hand. We use a smaller, sweeter and more delicate banana than the Cavendish variety of hard skin and high production that prevails in supermarkets.

The dominant flavor is obtained by adding to this soft and sweet banana base, the appropriate amount of other fruits or vegetables: passion fruit, guava, goldenberry, beet, carrot and ginger, etc. It takes a careful dehydration process to preserve the nutrients in the mixture.

Lámina de fruta deshidratada Makala para Food Service Presentamos un novedoso producto a base de purés y pulpas de frutas y hortalizas deshidratadas. La lámina deshidratada de Makala es un ingrediente listo para usar dirigido al sector de Food Service.

Se puede incorporar en diferentes platillos, salados o dulces. Su único limitante es la imaginación del Chef.

Las láminas de frutas deshidratadas tienen como base puré fresco de banano; sin embargo esta fruta no es la que destaca en sabor, sino la segunda que se le agrega, ya sea en puré o pulpa. La variedad de nuestras láminas incluye maracuyá, uchuva, guayaba, remolacha y zanahoria con un toque de jengibre.

Su textura elástica y pega josa varía según la mezcla de sus ingredientes y el contenido de pectina y azúcares naturales de la fruta. Las láminas tienen como base el banano, por lo cual no son saladas.

Para la creación de sus recetas tome en cuenta que la lámina absorbe humedad de otros ingredientes y suaviza su textura, lo cual le da la consistencia ideal para el consumo.

Cada lámina tiene un tamaño aproximado de 38.5 cm x 58.5 cm, con un espesor  1 mm. Su peso

varía según la mezcla de frutas; el rango está entre 180 - 240 gramos por lámina deshidratada y un porcenta je de humedad final de 7 - 10%.

Nuestras láminas no contienen preservantes, azúcar agregada, ni gluten. Es ideal para dietas vegetarianas o veganas. Conserve el producto en empaque cerrado o bolsa sellada, dado que es propenso a absorber humedad del ambiente. Una vez abierto el empaque se recomienda refrigerar para mantener sus características originales.

La lámina arrollada está protegida por un plástico adherente. Se empaca en bolsa con atmósfera modificada y herméticamente sellada. Un embalage secundario de cartón corrugado contiene 6 láminas empacadas individualmente en ca ja de cartulina.

La vida útil depende del empaque. En bolsa plástica con atmósfera modificada 6 meses (consumo nacional); en bolsa de aluminio con barrera de humedad y luz empacado con atmósfera modificada un año (producto de exportación).

Nuestra empresa está ubicada en la región de Turrialba (Costa Rica) en una finca que ya se encuentra en transición para la certificación como finca orgánica.

Makala dehydrated Fruit Leather Foil for Food Service We present a new product based on purees and pulps of dried fruits and vegetables. Dehydrated Makala Foil is a ready-to-use ingredient aimed at the Food Service sector. It can be incorporated in different dishes, salty or sweet. Its only limitation is the Chefs imagination.

Dehydrated Fruit Leather Foil are fresh banana puree based; However, this fruit is not the one that stands out in flavor, but the second one that is added, either pureed or pulp. The variety of our slices includes Passion Fruit, Goldenberry, Guava, Beet and Carrot with a touch of Ginger.

Its elastic and sticky texture varies depending on the mixture of its ingredients and the natural pectin and sugar content of the fruit. Since the sheets are banana base, they are not salty. For the creation of your recipes take into account that the sheet absorbs moisture from other ingredients and softens its texture, which gives it the ideal consistency for consumption.

Each sheet has an approximate size of 38.5 cm (15�) x 58.5 cm (23�), with a thickness 1 mm. Its weight varies according to the mixture of fruits; the range

is between 180-235 grams per dehydrated sheet and a final moisture percentage of 7-10%.

Our sheets do not contain preservatives, added sugar, or gluten. It is ideal for vegetarian or vegan diets.

Keep the product in a sealed package or sealed bag, as it is prone to absorb moisture from the environment. Once the package is opened, it is recommended to refrigerate to maintain its original characteristics.

The rolled sheet is protected by Plastic Wrap.

It is packed in a plastic bag with nytrogen and hermetically sealed. A secondary corrugated cardboard packaging contains 6 sheets individually packed in cardboard box.

The shelf life depends on the packaging. In plastic bag with modified atmosphere 6 months (national consumption); in an aluminum bag with moisture barrier and light packed with modified atmosphere one year (export product).

Our company is located in the Turrialba region (Costa Rica) on a farm that is already in transition for certification as an organic farm.

INGREDIENTES • Jamón Serrano (puede sustituir con tocineta ahumada) • 1 Lámina de Maracuyá MAKALA • Jalea de Uchuva MAKALA • Queso Brie • Palitos de Madera (Dientes)

P R E PA R A C I Ó N

APERITIVO 25 min.

Corte el jamón y la lámina en cuadros del mismo tamaño, aproximadamente 9 cm x 6 cm.

Para hacer el rollo comience con un cuadro de jamón, unte la jalea de uchuva con brocha (puede calentar la jalea unos 10 segundos en microondas para que quede más líquida).

Ponga un cuadro de lámina de maracuyá encima del cuadro de jamón, unte más jalea en la lámina de maracuyá.

De último coloque una tajada de queso al centro del rectángulo. Arrolle y prense con un palito de dientes.

Hornear a 300º F por 10 minutos o hasta que derrita el queso.

Si es con tocineta ahumada, hornear por 15 minutos.

La lámina de maracuyá debe quedar completamente cubierta con el jamón para evitar que se queme.

Sirva caliente.

INGREDIENTS • Serrano Ham (can be substituted with smoked bacon) • 1 MAKALA Passion Fruit Foil (1 sheet makes 36 rolls) • MAKALA Goldenberry (Uchuva) Jelly • Brie Cheese • Toothpicks

P R E P A R AT I O N

APPETIZER 25 min.

Cut ham and Passion Fruit Foil to the same size, approximately, 9 cm x 6 cm. (about 4” x 2 ¼”) Brush the slice of ham with goldenberry jelly (you can warm the jelly in the microwave for about 10 seconds to make it more liquid).

Place a slice of Passion Fruit Foil on the ham, brush with more jelly, then place a slice of cheese in the center of the rectangle.

Roll and hold it together with a toothpick.

Bake at 300º F for 10 minutes until the cheese melts.

If you choose to use smoked bacon, bake for 15 minutes.

The Passion Fruit Foil should be completely covered by the ham to avoid burning.

Serve warm.

INGREDIENTES • 2 Cucharadas de cebollino fresco picado fino • 2 Cucharadas de menta fresca picada fina • ¾ Taza de queso fresco de cabra • ¾ Taza de queso ricotta • 1 Rollo de lámina de remolacha • Sal y pimienta • Zanahoria cruda partida en tiras delgadas • Hojas de lechuga

P R E PA R A C I Ó N ENTRADAS 20 min.

Mezcle quesos, agregue menta y cebollino picado sal y pimiento.

Parta lámina de la forma que quiera, rellene de mezcla de quesos y para unir las puntas, solo humedezca dedos, presione las puntas de la lámina y listo. Decore con un palito de zanahoria y ponga encima de hojas de lechuga.

Opcional acompañar con una vinagreta los bocadillos.

INGREDIENTS • 2 Tbsp chopped fresh chives • 2 Tbsp fine minced fresh mint • ¾ Cup fresh goat cheese • ¾ Cup ricotta cheese • 1 Roll of MAKALA Beet Fruit Foil • Salt and pepper • 1 carrot cut in strips • Lettuces

P R E P A R AT I O N STARTER 20 min.

Mix Cheeses, add mint and chopped chives salt and pepper.

Cut Fruit Foil any shape you want, fill with cheese mix and to join the tips of the foil, just moisten fingers, press the tips of the sheet and voila. Garnish with a carrot stick and put on top of lettuce leaves.

Optional: Put some vinaigrette on top of the appetizers.

INGREDIENTES • 1 Paquete de tortilla de harina integral • 3 Aguacates • ¼ Taza de cebolla picada fina • 2 Cucharadas de perejil picado fino • 5 Pejibayes partidos en tajadas bien delgadas • 2 Cucharadas de chile rojo picado fino • Sal y pimiento al gusto.

• 1 Limón • 2 Cucharadas de mayonesa.

• ½ Taza de queso rallado mozzarella • Hojas de lechuga

P R E PA R A C I Ó N Partir aguacates, majarlos con tenedor, agregar, cebolla, perejil, chile, sal, pimiento mayonesa y jugo de limón.

Pone en la tortilla la lámina de zanahoria MAKALA , un poco más pequeña que la tortilla, luego hojas de lechuga. Encima de la lechuga la mezcla de aguacate, unas tajadas de pejibaye, y queso rallado.

Enrollar. Servir con salsa picante de tomate verde.

APERITIVO 25 min.

INGREDIENTS • 1 Package of whole wheat tortilla • 3 Avocados • ¼ Cup finely chopped onion • 2 Tablespoons finely chopped parsley • 5 Pejibayes split into very thin slices • 2 Tablespoons finely chopped red chili • Salt and pepper to taste.

• 1 Lemon • 2 Tablespoons mayonnaise • ½ Cup grated mozzarella cheese • Lettuce leaves

P R E P A R AT I O N Split avocados, mash them with a fork, add, onion, parsley, chili, salt, mayonnaise pepper and lemon juice. Put the MAKALA carrot foil on the tortilla, a little smaller than the tortilla, then lettuce leaves.

On top of the lettuce, the avocado mixture, some slices of pejibaye, and grated cheese.

Roll up. Serve with spicy green tomato sauce.

APPETIZER 25 min.

INGREDIENTES • 2 Platanos maduros • Queso tierno • 4 Cucharadas de azúcar • Natilla • 1 Cucharada de queso parmesano molido • Aceite para cocinar los dados • 2 cucharadas de harina • 1 Huevo

P R E PA R A C I Ó N Cocinar en microhondas el platano con todo y cascara, por 8 minutos. Antes portar las puntas y cortar a lo largo. Dejar enfriar, y majar con un tenedor.

Agregarle 4 cucharadas de azúcar, 1 cucharada de queso parmesano molido 1 huevo, harina.

ENTRADAS 20 min.

Hacer tortas sobre papel encerado o plástico adherable, como de 7 cms diámetro.

Espolvorear azúcar, untar con natilla, poner lámina de guayaba en cuadritos, y una pisca de azúcar, agregar un cuadro de queso tierno. Envolver ingredientes con el plátano y hacer dados Si pega mucho pasar por harina, dorar en sarten con un poco de aceite.

Servir caliente con natilla y frijoles molidos.

INGREDIENTS • 2 Ripe plantains • 4 Tbsp sugar • 1 Tbsp grated parmesan cheese • 2 Tbsp flour • 1 Egg

• 1 Cup Guava Foil, cut in small pieces • 100g Mozzarella Cheese in cubes • ½ cup Sour Cream • Cooking Oil

P R E P A R AT I O N Cut off the ends of the plantain slice the peel lengthwise, microwave for 8 minutes. Remove the peel mash with fork and add 4 tablespoons of sugar, 1 tablespoon of Parmesan cheese, 1 egg, flour.

Mix well.

STARTER 20 min.

Form into patties on waxed paper, about 6 cm (3”) in diameter.

Sprinkle sugar, spread with sour cream, put diced guava foil, and a pinch of sugar and parmesan cheese.

Add a chunk of cheese. Wrap the patty around the filling, and form into a cube. If it feels sticky coat with a little flour. Brown on every side in a pan with light coating of oil on medium heat.

Serve warm sour cream or dusted with powder sugar.

INGREDIENTES • 2 Pechugas de pollo marinadas con: • ½ taza leche de coco • 1 cucharada de curry • 1 cucharada de perejil picado • 1 cucharadita de azúcar

SALSA • 2 zanahorias medianas • ¼ Taza de cebolla picada • 1 Cucharada de jengibre rallado • 1 ½ Cucharada de tamari y salsa de soya • 1 Cucharada de Tahini • ¼ Taza de agua • 1 Cucharada de jalea de uchuva

P R E PA R A C I Ó N Parta tiras de pechuga de pollo delgadas, refrigere pollo adobado por 2 horas.

Arrolle en pincho, dejando espacio en la parte de arriba para agregar lámina de zanahoria. Cocine en grill o sartén a que dore bien.

Corte tiras de unos 3 cms por 10 cms de lámina. Clávela la lámina hacienda ondas.

Pele y pique grueso la zanahoria, pele y ralle fino el jengibre Agregue con los demás ingredientes en el procesados, ajuste sabor si se necesita.

Para que los pinchos se sostengan en el vaso, se puede poner una rodaja de pepino al fondo.

INGREDIENTS • 2 Chicken breast marinated with: • ½ Cup of coconut milk • 1 Tbsp of curry • 1 Tbsp of chopped parsley • 1 Tbsp of sugar

APERITIVO 1h.

SAUSE • 2 Medium carrots • ¼ Cup of chopped onion • 1 Tbsp of grated ginger • 1½ Tbsp of Tamari and soy sauce • 1 Tbsp of Tahini • 1 Tbsp of MAKALA goldenberry jelly • ¼ Cup of water

P R E P A R AT I O N Slice chicken add to marinate and place in refrigerator a couple hours for best flavor.

Cut thin chicken breast strips. Roll on skewer, leaving room at the top to add carrot foil. Grill or pan to brown well.

Cut strips of about 3 cm by 10 cm of the Carrot Foil. Roll on top of the skewer to form curves.

Serve with peanut sauce for dipping and add the Carrot Foil on top.

Peel and chop the carrot. Peel and grate ginger Add with the other ingredients in the processed, adjust flavor if needed.

When you are ready to serve the skewers, you can add a slice of cucumber at the bottom of the glass so it holds better.

APPETIZER 1h.

Empanelados en capas con lรกmina de zanahoria y de remolacha Layered carrot and Beet Fruit leather Foil Sandwich

INGREDIENTES • Pan cuadrado blanco bollo entero cortado a lo largo en capas horizontales • 80 g de Lámina de remolacha MAKALA • 80g de Lámina de zanahoria MAKALA • ½ Taza de mayonesa • 2 Cucharaditas mostaza Dijon • 40g Mantequilla suave

• 180g Queso crema • 60g Aceituna negra en rodajas delgadas • 20g Alcaparra picada • 1 Cucharadita de perejil picado fino • 200g de Jamón • 150g de Queso mozarella en tajadas pizca de jengibre molido

P R E PA R A C I Ó N Capa 1 de pan: untar pan con mayonesa, agregarle aceituna en rodajas y alcaparra picada fina, encima lámina de remolacha.

Capa 2 de pan: untar de queso crema, con 1 cucharadita de perejil, encima doble tajadas de jamón.

Capa 3 de pan: untar mantequilla, poner tajada de queso mozzarella Capa 4 de pan: untar con mayonesa, mostaza y pizca de jengibre en polvo. lámina de zahahoria. Tapar con pan untado con la misma mezcla de mayonesa.

APERITIVO 30 min.

Presionar el bollo de pan terminado con table de picar, deje reposar el sandwich unos 30 minutos antes de partir para que las láminas de remolacha y zanahoria absorban humedad y sea fácil de partir.

Se parte a lo largo en la mitad, y luego en la otra dirección formando cuadros.

INGREDIENTS • A loaf of bread sliced in horizontal layers • 80 g MAKALA Beet Fruit Foil • 80g MAKALA Carrot Fruit Foil • Spreads and other ingredients: • ½ Cup of mayonnaise • 2 Tbsp Dijon mustard • 40g Soft butter

• 180g Cream cheese • 60g Thin sliced black olive • 20g Chopped caper • 1 Tbsp finely chopped parsley • 200g of Ham • 150g Mozzarella cheese sliced • Pinch of ground ginger

P R E P A R AT I O N 1st layer of bread: spread bread with mayonnaise, add sliced olives and finely chopped capers, then Beet Foil.

2nd layer of bread: spread of cream cheese, with 1 tsp of parsley, add double slices of ham.

3rd layer of bread: spread butter, put double slice of mozzarella cheese 4th layer of bread: spread with mayonnaise, mustard and pinch of ginger powder add Carrot Fruit Leather Foil. Cover with bread spread with the same mixture of mayonnaise.

With a cutting board press down on the loaf to compress the layers. Let the sandwich sit for 30 minutes so the Fruit Leather Foil can absorb moisture of the other ingredients, that makes it easier to cut. Cut in bite size squares.

APPETIZER 30 min.

Brochetta con hummus y lรกmina de remolacha MAKALA Bruschetta with Hummus and Beet Fruit Leather Foil

INGREDIENTES • 1 pan baguette o similar cortado en tajadas y untar con un poco de aceite de oliva, tostar en horno.

• 1 taza de tu humus favorito • ¾ taza de láminas de remolacha MAKALA en cuadritos • ¼ taza de lámina de remolacha cortado en cuadrados para adornar la brochetta.

• 1 cucharada de aceite de oliva • 1 cucharada de vinagre de vino tinto • 1 cucharada de cebolla picados fino • ¼ cucharadita de sal, pizca de pimienta • Arúgula o puede variar, en lugar de arúgula, algunas rodajas de aguacate con frijol nacido.

P R E PA R A C I Ó N Mezcle, lámina de remolacha con vinagre, 1 cucharada de cebolla 1 cucharada de aceite de oliva, sal, pimienta. Agregue al humus, mezcle bien, déjelo reposar en la nevera durante unas horas, para que el sabor de la remolacha se establezca.

Cuando va a servir, unte la mezcla en tostada de pan, agregue tajadas de aguacate, frijol nacido, y un poco de la lámina de remolacha picada en cuadritos.

APERITIVO 25 min.

INGREDIENTS • 1 Baguette French bread or similar Italian bread, brushed with olive oil (optional) toast the slices • 1 Cup of your favorite hummus • ¾ Cup sliced Beet MAKALA Foil • ¼ Cup Beet Foil cut in squares for garnishing the bruschetta.

• 1 Tbsp olive oil • 1 Tbsp red wine vinager • 1 tbsp olive oil • 1 Tbsp shallots, minced • ¼ Tsp salt, dash of pepper • Large handful baby arugula or can vary the recipe instead of arugula, some slices of avocado with bean sprouts, and some of the Beet Foil.

P R E P A R AT I O N Mix, Beet Foil with, wine vinager, 1 tbsp of olive oil, shallots, salt, pepper. Add to hummus, mix well.

Let it stand in the fridge for a few hour, for the Beet flavor sets up.

When serving, spread the mixture on toast, add slices of avocado, born beans, and a little bit of diced beet foil.

BOCADILLOS DE CAMARÓN Y PEPINO CON MAKALA MAKALA Shrimp Cucumber Bites

INGREDIENTES • ½ Kilo de Camarones • 2 Cucharadas de jalea de Uchuva MAKALA • ¼ Taza de jugo de limón • ¼ Cucharada de vinagre de Uchuva MAKALA • 1 Cucharadita de sazonador Cajun • 1/3 Taza de aceite de oliva • Sal y pimienta • Pepino en rodajas • Lámina de Uchuva en cuadros de 5x5cm GUACAMOLE • 2 Aguacates • 2 cucharadas de culantro • 1 cucharada jugo de limón • 2 dientes de ajo picado fino • 1 jalapeño picado fino • ½ taza de cebolla morada picada fina Mezcle todos los ingredientes en un recipiente, refrigere

APERITIVO 40 min.

Mezcle los ingredientes para marinar camarón, agregue los camarones, por 30 minutos.

Cocine en sartén por 3 minutos. Apartar.

Para preparar el bocadillo,primero 1 rodaja de pepino, encima cuadro de lámina de uchuva, aguacate y por último el camarón y un poco de perejil molido.

Cook the Squash, with the ginger with little water for 5 minutes.

Drain the leftover water and process with the ginger with which it was cooked, cream cheese, pepper, salt, ground parsley, almond.

P R E PA R A C I Ó N Sofreir la tocineta a que quede crocante Sofreir cebolla, agregar espinaca picada, continue cocinando por 2 minutos.

Mezclar lo anterior con queso ricotta, con parmesano, perejil, cebolla sal y pimiento.

Estirar la pasta hojaldre, recortar en rectángulos, de 7cm x 5 cms.

P R E P A R AT I O N Saute the bacon until crispy Saute onion, add chopped spinach and continue cooking for 2 minutes.

Mix the above ingredients with ricotta cheese, with Parmesan, parsley, onion salt and pepper.

Stretch the puff pastry, cut into rectangles, 7cm x 5 cm.

Add a a slice of beet foil, put 1 teaspoon of cheese mixture on top. Roll pastry. Spread with egg yolk with milk.

Cut potatoes into quarters. Place in a saucepan and cover with water, salt. Bring to a gentle boil and cook until tender, about 5 minutes. Drain and let cool. Cut potatoes into bite sized chunks – remove skins if desired.

In a large bowl whisk together mayo, olive oil, and vinegar. Add potatoes and hard-boiled egg.

Season to taste with salt and pepper.

Grate the onion over the bowl so as to collect the juices. Add the beet foil and mix. Season to taste again with salt and pepper. You can add more mayo if you prefer.

• Pimientos morrones • 1 Cucharadita de jengibre rallado • 2 Cucharadas de mostaza Dijon • 6 Tajadas de tocineta • Salsa de mango con jengibre

P R E PA R A C I Ó N Abrir el lomo para rellenarlo, sazonar con sal y pimiento y la mostaza con el jengibre rallado y la salsa de mango y jengibre.

Poner encima la lámina de zanahoria MAKALA,capas de zuquini en tajadas muy delgadas, nuevamente untar con salsa de mango y jengibre.agregar las tajadas de tocineta, luego pimientos morrones en tiras,aceitunas en tajadas. Una capa de arugula Lavada y untada de aceite de oliva y limón, barnizar con salsa de mango.

Arrollar el lomo y sostener con palillos de dientes. Barnizar por fuera con la salsa de mango. Revisar cada 10 minutos, untar con más salsa de mango, dar vuelta y hacer lo mismo.

Hornear por 30 minutos a 375˚ F Puede acompañar con arroz blanco, maiz, y más salsa de mango.

PLATO FUERTE 45 min.

INGREDIENTS • 2 to 1 pounds of pork loin • 1 Carrot Foil • 1 Zuquini • A few Leafs of arugula • Black olives

• Bell peppers • 1 teaspoon grated ginger • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard • 6 slices of bacon • Mango sauce with ginger

P R E P A R AT I O N Open the loin to fill it, season with salt and pepper and mustard with grated ginger and mango and ginger sauce.

Cocine papas y zanahoria juntas, con cascara,cubriéndolas con agua en una olla y cocinando hasta que estén suaves, aproximadamente 20 minutos.

Una vez que las verduras estén cocinadas, refrigérelas hasta que estén completamente frías.

Coloque 6 huevos en una olla pequeña y cubra con agua. Cocine a fuego medio durante 6 minutos después de que el agua hierva. Retire del fuego, drene el agua y agregue agua fría a la olla para enfriar los huevos.

• 3 medium potatoes boiled with skin on, peeled and grated • 1 large carrot boiled with skin on Carrot Fruit Leather Foil • Beet Fruit Leather Foil • 6 eggs hardboiled • 3 scallions chopped • 1.5 cup tuna • 3 Tbsp Oil • 1/2 cup mayonnaise • 1 tsp salt • 1 tsp pepper

Cook potatoes and carrots together, with skin on by covering it with water in a pot and cooking until soft, about 20 minutes.

Once the vegetables are cool, refrigerate them until completely cold.

Place 6 eggs into a small pot and cover with water. Cook over medium heat for 6 minutes after the water comes to a boil. Remove from heat, drain water and add cold water to the pot to cool off the eggs.

Peel the eggs. Separate egg whites from egg yolk. Grate the egg whites into a bowl.

Peel and then grate the vegetables, placing each kind into a different dish.

Season the potatoes with salt and pepper to taste, then drizzle about 1 Tbsp of oil and lightly stir to combine.

Now season carrots and add about 1 tsp of oil and stir to combine.

Cut 100g beet leather, combine with cream cheese, and. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then drizzle with 1 Tbsp of oil and stir to combine. Chop 3 scallions.

MAIN DISH 7 h.

Assemble Layered Beet salad with Tuna Layer the potatoes out onto the serving dish,or divide between small jars. Spread a thin layer of mayo on top.

Cut a circle of the Carrot Foil, put on top of the potato. Add carrots and spread around evenly. Again, spread a thin layer of mayonnaise on top.

Sprinkle with scallions.

Follow by 1½ cup chopped tuna, spreading it around evenly.

Next, sprinkle the grated egg whites.

Add the Beet Foil Mixture with cream cheese.

Cover with a circle of Beet Foil, brush with a little of olive oil.

Refrigerate until ready to serve, about 6 hours.

Once ready to serve, grate the reserved egg yolk on a fine grater on top of the salad (optional).

• ¼ taza de vino tinto • 70g de macadamia sin sal • Sal, pimienta al gusto • Semilla de ajonjolí • 2 cucharadas aceite oliva • 1 huevo • 1 cucharadita de leche

P R E PA R A C I Ó N PLATO FUERTE 1 h..

Sofreír la cebolla y los ajos en el aceite de oliva. Cuando comienza a cristalizar, agregar hongo lavado y escurrido y perejil. Sazonar con sal y pimienta y agregue el vino y dejar unos 5 min a fuego lento, para reducir líquido. Estire la pasta hojaldre aproximadamente 40cm por 60 cms. Recordando que la lámina de remolacha mide aproximadamente, 38.5cms x 58.5 cms. Untar el paté sobre la pasta hojaldre, colocar la lámina de remolacha sobre la de pasta hojaldre, de último la mezcla de cebolla con los hongos y macadamia. Untar la clara de huevo en los bordes de la pasta hojaldre con una brocha, enrolle, al terminar unte más clara de huevo para que se una bien la pasta.

Untar la yema de huevo con 1 cucharadita de leche al arrollado, espolvorear semilla de ajonjolí.

Hornear por 35 minutos a 350º F. Se puede acompañar el arrollado con una salsa bernesa si se desea.

Sírvase con una ensalada.

INGREDIENTS • 1 sheet of raw puff pastry • 1 sheet of MAKALA Beet Foil • 250g of paté • ½ finely chopped onion • 2 garlic, minced • 2 tablespoons finely chopped parsley • 250g thinly sliced mushrooms

• ¼ cup red wine • 70g salt-free macadamia • Salt and pepper to taste • Sesame Seed • 2 tablespoons olive oil • 1 egg • 1 teaspoon of milk

P R E P A R AT I O N MAIN DISH 1 h.

Sauté the onion and garlic in olive oil. When it begins to crystallize add washed and drained mushroom and parsley. Season with salt and pepper and add the wine. Simmer over low heat for about 5 min. to reduce liquid.

Roll out the puff pastry to about 40cm by 60 cms (16” x 24”). Spread the paté on the puff pastry, place the Beet Foil on the puff pastry, and spread evenly the onion mixture with the mushrooms and macadamia.

Brush egg white on the edges of the puff pastry and roll into a log shape. Apply more egg white so that the pastry stays together.

Mix the egg yolk with 1 teaspoon of milk and brush on the pastry log, sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Bake for 35 minutes at 350º F. Serve with a salad and Bernaise sauce if desired.

PLATO FUERTE 35 min.

Aliste los filetes de salmón.

Prepare la marinada jengibre, chile, ajo, salt, en un sartén, agregue jalea de uchuva y semilla de ajonjolí Mezcle todo hasta que comience a hervir, y se reduzca la salsa y quede pegajosa.Agregue el salmon dore un par de minutos de cada lado.

Quite del fuego, agregue más semilla de ajonjolí cebolla chile dulce y tiritas de lámina de Uchuva.

Para decorar: Semilla de ajonjolí, cebolla picada y chile rojo, lámina de Uchuva picada al gusto, echar en la misma salsa sobre el salmón.

Acompañe con arroz blanco y vegetales.

Cut the Salmon, in portions.

Prepare marinade by mixing the soy sauce, Uchuva vinager, ginger, chili, garlic, salt.

In a little pan with oil, pour the ingredients for the marinade.

Mix together until it starts to bubble and gets thicker/saucier.

Add the salmon and fry for a couple of minutes on each side.

Take off the heat and garnish with more sesame seeds, spring onion, red chilli, and Uchuva Foil in the sauce.

Serve with rice and vegetables.

INGREDIENTES • 1 Lámina de guayaba MAKALA partida en cuadros _> 9 cm x 7 cms.

Mantenga la lámina empacada en plástico adherente, o contenedor bien cerrado hasta el momento de rellenar.

• 200ml Whip topping (preferiblemente a base de grasa vegetal, porque mantiene la consitencia por más tiempo) • 2 Cucharadas de licor de naranja.

• 1/3 taza de azúcar en polvo.

• Para decorar, azúcar en polvo, y chocolate derretido

P R E PA R A C I Ó N Para el relleno: Bata la crema, agregue 1/3 de azúcar en polvo, agregue licor. Rellene el rectangulo arrolle. Espolvoree azúcar en polvo con colador, y decore con hilos de chocolate derretido.

La lámina de guayaba se suavizara en poco tiempo con la humedad de la crema y estará lista para comer. Se puede acompañar con una bola de helados.

POSTRE 20 min.

INGREDIENTS • 1 MAKALA GuavaFruit Leather Foil, cut into 10 cm x 7 cm pieces. Keep in air tight container or folded in plastic wrap, until ready to use.

Grind cookie, add butter, jelly and salt.

100g MAKALA goldenberry Foil 3 tablespoons of goldenberry jam warmed up in microwave a few seconds, to be able to brush with goldenberry Foil before incorporating it into the cheese cake.

Mini Cheese cakes CON MAKALA DE GUAYABA (sin hornear) No bake Mini Cheese cakes with MAKALA Guava

INGREDIENTES PA R A C O N C H A • 60g Lámina MAKALA de guayaba • 20g Lámina de guayaba para decorar • 1 Cucharadita de azúcar glass • 200 ml Crema dulce fria, o whip topping Hopla (es sin gluten) • ½ Cucharadita de canela • ¼ Taza de azúcar • Pizca de sal • 1Cucharada de licor de naranja • 8 oz de Queso crema

P R E PA R A C I Ó N

• 16 Galleta (tipo María) trituradas • 4 Cucharadas de mantequilla Triture las galletas agregue la mantequilla derretida. Poner en capsulas de papel, presione la galleta para formar una concha en el fondo, poner al horno por 5 minutos, a que dore un poco. Sacar del horno. Parta la lámina en cuadritos pequeños con una cuchilla de partir pizza o una tijera. Mezcle 40g de lámina con el azúcar glass para que queden sueltas.

Batir la crema agregando el azúcar, pizca de sal, cuadritos de lámina de guayaba, mezclar con espátula el queso crema. Rellene la cápsula, con mezcla, aplane con una espátula Mantener en nevera o inclusive congelados bien tapados. Antes de servirlos ponerle más cuadritos de guayaba para decorar. Al sevir quite la cápsula de papel.

POSTRE 20 min.

INGREDIENTS PA R A C O N C H A • 60g MAKALA Guava Fruit Leather Thins, cut in small squares.

For decorating, use some more Guava squares.

• 1 Tsp of powder sugar • 8oz Cream cheese • 16oz Whipped cream • ½ Teaspoon cinnamon • ¼ Cup sugar • Pinch of salt • 1 Tbsp orange liquoir

P R E P A R AT I O N

• 16 sweet cracker crumbs • 4 tbsp butter Placethe cookies, then the melted butter in the food Put the mix in paper caps, press it to form a shell in the bottom, bake for 5 minutes, to brown a little. Take out of the oven. Cut the guava Fruit Leather Thins into small squares with a pizza cutter or scissors. Mix 40g of laminate with the sugar so that t they don’t stick together.

Beat the cream cheese add the sugar, pinch of salt, cinamon, liquoir, mix whipped cream with Spatula, add the Guava squares. Fill the paper cup, flatten the mixture.

Keep in the freezer for 4 hours tightly covered. Before serving them put more squares of guava to decorate it and enjoy!
