The purpose of this project was to regenerate the local community with non-profit organizations. In advanced, we visited the Birmingham real estate factory to learn about the new construction method. My design was to attract more young people, set up a central square that could host various activities, and build a co-living house suitable for all ages. Located to the north-east of Shaxi Temple Deng Street is the village of Beilong, a village that is a 20-minute walk from the main tourist attraction and has become an integral part of Shaxi's cultural exchange. Pioneer Bookshop, from Nanjing, has been building village bookshops in rural areas across China for ten years hoping to bring reading to the villages and at the same time bring the Bilbao effect to the area.

As another innovation of the pioneering bookshop in the countryside, it is hoped to build a multifunctional residential building in the village of Hualong, on the south-western hills of Shaxi. The building is divided into a private space and a public space, which, because of its unique location, will become a viewpoint and be combined with the bookshop. The other part serves as a habitat for artists and writers. An inspirational home for artists and a creative cultural atmosphere for the local community

For the original design brand's new shop in Lijiang Old Town, we used lower cost glass bricks, concrete pillars and eco-friendly wood panels at the request of our client. The whole space is bright and smooth, allowing customers to find their favorite accessories among the translucent bricks.

We used bamboo to make a to make a shelter structure that can constantly grow. We studied the binding technology of bamboo and the insulation layer of the hut. First we made a model with Rhino, and then made a small version of the building with bamboo, raised it in water, we recorded this interesting process with a camera.
Volunteering: Built Heritage Preservation Workcamp I was honoured to be selected as a volunteer in Pingyao. During the camp, we had the opportunity to meet the local craftsmen and masters working for the cultural heritage and spent precious time in Pingyao, the first city in China to selected to be a UNESCO World Heritage Site. And I deeply realized the charm of ancient buildings and the importance of protecting traditional buildings. (Photo by me)
