Sylvia J Muccio Scholarship Fund
Sylvia j muccio founded Team Image Synchronized Skating Team more than 35 years ago. Sylvia was an extraordinary woman who positively impacted many people’s lives and made significant contributions to the synchronized skating community. In keeping with Sylvia’s devotion and passion for synchronized skating, a scholarship fund was created to continue her legacy.
The Sylvia J Muccio Scholarship is awarded to Team Image athletes who embody the character traits that Sylvia instilled in her skaters:
• Sylvia was a kind, loving and enthusiastic coach with a great sense of humor. Sylvia’s contagious energy and passion for synchronized skating inspired her skaters to become dedicated athletes devoted to their team and sport.
• Sylvia’s supportive coaching style and belief in her skaters empowered them to become strong and confident athletes willing to take risks and prepared to overcome challenges.
• Sylvia demonstrated strong moral principles. She valued honesty, integrity, and fairness. She taught her skaters the value of treating others with respect and demonstrating good sportsmanship.
The Sylvia J Muccio Scholarship provides financial support in the form of tuition reduction for the current season. The scholarship is awarded solely on the basis that the skater who receives it embraces the values that Sylvia demonstrated.
