HOW WE DO IT Every year, Image Solutions takes 10% percent of our profits, gives it to Image Solutions Gives Back (a 501(c)(3)), then donates to causes we care about. We like to keep it varied: some are causes that not only need donations but need a conversation. Others lay the groundwork for individuals to move forward and help others. None of this is possible without our team; our team members nominate and select organizations to donate to because what’s important to them is important to us.

THE STUDENTS 1 WE SELECT SEVERAL COLLEGE STUDENTS WITH DIFFERENT BACKGROUNDS, DIFFERENT GOALS, AND DIFFERENT PERSONALITIES. BUT THEY ALL HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO DO BIG THINGS.

Destiny Watson

I grew up in Fort Collins, Colorado. Before graduating from Poudre High School, I ran cross country and played cello in the orchestra. Now, I work full-time and attend community college, until I begin studying Respiratory Therapy at Pima Medical Institute in October.

Anthony Cendejas I grew up in Compton, but after my parents separated, I split my time between them in Gardena and Compton. At South East High School, I volunteered with the Helping Hands club and worked. I now attend Cal State Fullerton, and focus on paying bills and doing my best in college.

I grew up in Inglewood, California. I played football all four years at Leuzinger High School. I enjoy video games and working out. I study Civil Engineering at Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas.

I was born and raised in Gardena, California. In high school, I was on the varsity softball team, the drill and dance team, and in the Upward Bound program. Despite my anxiety, 7 out of the 8 colleges I applied to accepted me, and I chose to study psychology at UCLA.

RACIAL JUSTICE $10,000 DONATED

America is overdue for a racial justice reckoning. Black Lives Matter, founded in 2013, is a leader in the movement against systemic racism and disproportionate violence towards Black individuals and communities. Working primarily through organizers around the country, Black Lives Matter operates on the streets to affect national policies. The Equal Justice Initiative, founded in 1989, set out to provide legal representation to people mistreated by the criminal justice system. It is now a leading voice in the conversations about race, justice, and equality in America. With these two organizations, we hope to do our part to address the systemic racism that has plagued America for too long.

$30,000 DONATED Liz Korkis spent her life serving others: first as a hospice nurse and LVN, later as a Registered Nurse, and always as a bright light in people’s lives. Cancer interrupted her career in 2018, but once in remission, Liz restarted her work through Torrance Memorial Medical Center’s New Graduate Program. Three months into the program, the cancer returned. Liz began treatment, but by May 2020, Liz’s time at TMMC came full circle when she spent her last days there as a patient. The Liz Korkis Memorial Fund aims to reduce student debt for TMMC New Graduates. The fund continues to allow Liz to help others and helps those who cared for her during her hardest times. Liz would be so proud.

$16,000 DONATED The Women’s Crisis Center is a foundational community center, offering comprehensive services for people impacted by domestic violence and sexual abuse. The center also takes a proactive approach to transforming communities through violence prevention, including outreach education programs and bystander training.
