Made from two strong layers of corrugated fluting, double wall boxes are perfect for packing, storing and shipping medium to heavy weight objects. The extra strength provided by these boxes also makes them perfect for shipping fragile goods and means they can be used for longer term storage requirements. These boxes are supplied flat packed and in multiple pack sizes, which makes shipping and storage more convenient. Made from a high percentage of recycled material, our double wall boxes are very environmentally friendly and can be fully recycled after use, whatsmore the extra strength provided by these boxes makes them perfect for multiple use. USEFUL INFORMATION TAPES
There are two main types of packaging tape with various adhesives available to suit your application:
Vinyl
Also known as PVC, vinyl tape is thicker than PP and has a smooth and quiet release from the roll. It’s easily torn by hand, but doesn’t stretch, and is strong enough to take puncture holes. Matt in appearance, this carrier type is only available with a solvent adhesive.
Polypropylene (PP)
PP tapes are shiny in appearance and come in a range of adhesives (Solvent, Hotmelt, Acrylic) to cover all packaging applications. They are more cost effective and environmentally friendly compared to vinyl, but are less likely to hold a puncture
ADHESIVES
Solvent – is a natural rubber recommended for sealing medium to heavy loads and is temperature resistant. It’s available in standard and low noise as well as for manual or machine applications
Hotmelt – is known as a synthetic rubber suitable for general applications. It’s one of the most popular adhesives and is available for manual or machine application.
Acrylic – is a water based adhesive available in standard and low noise. It’s not recommended for use in cold conditions as it can lift. Acrylic adhesive works best for sticking polythene.

POLYPROPYLENE TAPE
TAPES
Polypropylene (PP) tapes are quickly becoming the packaging tape of choice because of the variety of applications that the tape can be used for and the economical cost to purchase. Polypropylene film carrier is very versatile and can be used for hotmelt, solvent and acrylic adhesives. Polypropylene is seen as an environmentally friendly product as it is made using waste products from the petroleum industry.
Low noise tapes, using a polypropylene carrier, are available with either a solvent or acrylic adhesive. Packaging tapes can be surprisingly noisy to pull off a roll, which can be important when being used in busy packing areas. Solvent based acrylic tapes have good operating temperature ranges and acrylic adhesive is very cost effective.
Cross weave filament tapes are glass fibre reinforced tapes, which are extremely strong and secure. These tapes are designed for use on multiple surfaces and where heavy security is required.

VINYL TAPE
TAPES
Vinyl or PVC tape is seen as a premium carrier film for packaging tapes because it can be stronger, smoother and easier to pull off a roll, will not stretch and can also be torn by hand. The only adhesive available on Vinyl tape is solvent, which also means that these tapes are quieter in use and not affected by extremes of temperature.
MASKING TAPE
Masking tapes are paper based, pressure sensistive, tapes that can be used for multiple tasks such as D.I.Y. masking and craft. Masking tapes have low adhesion which makes them easy and clean to remove but also offer good resistance to solvents and liquids, which makes them great for decorating and for outdoor use.
BLUE UV MASKING TAPE
Blue fine crepe paper masking tape with a specially formulated pressure-sensitive, synthetic rubber adhesive designed for exposure to UV flatbed machines, removes cleanly up to fourteen days after application.
SELF ADHESIVE KRAFT PAPER TAPE
This ecological Paper Tape is not only used extensively within the packaging industry but is the standard for the picture framing market. It’s self adhesive with a water resistant backing and is printable with water-based inks. Suitable for use on existing tape dispensers.
Water activated tapes have an adhesive which is activated by water and creates a highly resilient bond with the fibres of the corrugated cardboard box. They offer superior resistance to abrasion and tampering to that offered by self adhesive vinyl tapes. They are tolerant of temperature fluctuations, maintaining a strong bond even in refrigerated storage conditions. Reinforced with fibreglass, this gummed tape is extremely strong and impossible to remove without traces of damage. Made from Kraft paper. Available in a range of widths and lengths. Adhesive activated by water using the relevant Water Activated Tape Dispenser

Used extensively in the Large Format point of sale (P.O.S) market for sticking together two substrates when constructing a unit or sticking a panel to a wall as a display or as a banner hemming tape. This could entail clay coated corrugated to clay coated corrugated, foam board to foam board and plastic to plastic or any combination of these as well as aluminium di-bond or wood or metal the substrates can and will vary depending on the application.
ADHESIVE TRANSFER TAPE (ATG)
Strong and permanent acrylic adhesive transfer tape, suitable for bonding a variety of materials including paper, textiles, plastics, leather, wood and glass, is an ideal alternative to glue or double sided tape, and it eliminates wastage and

AirCap® and AirCap®E bubble film rolls are made using barrier film to help air retention, which keeps the film inflated longer than some other films. The AirCap®E bubble 200 metre roll configuration gives a roll diameter that is similar to some other standard 100 metre rolls, which improves handling efficiencies and reduces costs and is more friendly on the environment as well as saving valuable space. A range of bubble sizes allows for picking the exact type of bubble roll best suited for the product being shipped or the level of protection required.

The range of small and large bubble films offer an economical, effective solution for void filling, interleaving, wrapping and cushioning. Jiffy bubble film uses a layer of barrier film that seals each air pocket, reducing air escape, giving longer lasting protection and performance. Suitable for both heavy and lightweight items on longer storage or journey cycles.
Jiffy Astro Foam® is a low-density polyethylene layer that is a gentle alternative to some more traditional packaging wraps, so is ideal for protecting items that need special care and attention, offering protection from scuffing and abrasion. Loose fill chips are designed to protect products by absorbing shock and vibration that can be encountered during packing and transit. Choose from the 100% recycled product that is made from post consumer and industrial waste, which can also be reused or recycled, or from the bio chips that are designed to be compostable in domestic or bio waste.

These mailers
extremely tough, puncture resistant padded envelopes which are ideal for posting more robust and heavy duty products. Jiffy gold self-seal padded envelopes are grease and puncture resistant and are ideal when maximum protection is required as the fibres expand with continued use, providing extra cushioning. Manufactured from strong 90 gsm Kraft paper with 100% recycled paper fibre lining. Four fold construction with double fold corners and double glued bottom flap and side seam for extra protection and strength. The self adhesive strip (except on reference SPB8) forms a firm seal so there’s no need for glue or tape.
These Jiffy bags have a bubble lining which is laminated to the paper outer to give extra strength and puncture resistance, protecting against shocks and withstanding the knocks that happen during transit through the post. The outer is manufactured from lightweight 70 gsm paper and the long lasting bubble is made from 32 micron bubble with barrier air retention technology. The sides are welded to prevent bursting and give you peace of mind that your product will arrive in great condition by using a Jiffy Airkraft gold bag. With a wide range of Jiffy bags in stock you can be sure to find the postal bag to fit your product. Jiffy Airkraft bags are also available in white for a more premium finish.

These triangular postal tubes are provided flat-packed and in packs, which makes storage more efficient. The triangular shape once constructed offers additional security during transit as they will not roll around, which offers extra protection through the postal network. The more stable storage makes them easier to go through automated reading systems, which allows for quicker label scanning. Available in blown and cast film, the ever evolving range offers increased efficiency and cost savings. There are many film options available, our experts are here to help you and your customers choose the best solution to maximise performance and maintain load stability. We’re also expanding our range of environmentally-friendly films to include those made from a minimum of 30% recycled content.
STRETCH WRAP
Whenever selecting film, the following variables should be taken into account:
Type of product
Stretchfilm type is dependent on what you are wrapping. Lighter, more fragile goods require a lower gauge of film to avoid being crushed than heavier, more solid goods that can withstand the pressure of higher gauges.
Type of load
There are two factors that determine load type – the weight of the load and the uniformity of its outside surface. Examples of different load types are shown to the right.
Type of equipment
Machine stretch levels will help determine what type of film is necessary to wrap a load. Higher gauges were once required for machines with high pre-stretch levels, whereas today we are selling thinner, tougher films which are able to endure greater levels of stretch whilst maintaining their strength.
LOAD TYPES

A loads have no irregularities.
There are two types of packaging film which are determined by their manufacturing process. Both films offer great benefits, but the choice of which to use should be based on your goals, circumstances and expectations. Generally, both films offer money saving pre-stretch performance and effective load containment. They’re also suitable for a wide range of applications.
Cast Film
FILM
Cast hand stretch films offer very good film clarity, allowing for product visibility during transit. Cast films are also very quiet when being unwound from a roll, which means they’re ideal for areas with high volume packing activity. Cast films are also more elastic, so can offer better stretch abilities. Extended core hand wrap allows users to apply film quicker and easier.
B loads have protrusions up to 100mm

Cast film is made when sheets of heated resin are fed through a rolling path using chilled rollers that cool and solidify the film. Compared to blown film, cast is clearer which offers better clarity of the product and labels underneath. It also unwinds quieter and is soft and easy to stretch, but strong enough to resist tearing.
Blown Film
Blown film is made when heated resin is blown in to a bubble which is transferred in to rollers and cooled by the surrounding air. Compared to cast film, blown is tough, resilient and very resistant to puncture. It also has an exceptional cling, but makes more noise unwinding.
CAST HAND PRE-STRETCHFILM
Using pre-stretch cast films makes it possible for users to achieve the same levels of wrapping, load stability and product protection whilst using less film by weight, thus reducing the amount of packaging film required. All of the other properties of a pre-stretch film are the same as standard cast hand film.
MASTER’IN BLOWN HAND STRETCHFILM
Blown hand stretch films offer excellent puncture resistance, which makes them great for wrapping odd shape pallets or products. Blown films also offer superior tack over cast films, which makes them stick to pallets and goods easier, which speeds up the wrapping process. Blown films are not as elastic as cast films, so it is easier to apply larger force on packed pallets, which makes the film perfect for use on heavier pallets and goods.

Our range of strapping and pallet protection materials include hand and machine strapping bands and edge protectors. Available in polypropylene and polyester material our strapping bands come in a selection of colours and offer an alternative to stretchfilm for securing boxes during transit. Polyester strapping is used as anti-theft protection and also to help secure goods on pallets to keep them stable for transit, thereby helping to reduce movement and damage. Polyester strapping (PET) is perfect for heavy-weight goods. PURE KRAFT PAPER
Pure Kraft paper is a superior strength brown paper, made using well bonded fibres to ensure the paper is robust. Because Pure Kraft paper is made using unbleached pulp, the paper has higher strength and durability which offers superior puncture and tear resistance. These Pure Kraft paper sheets are fully recyclable and biodegradable. The roll format allows for easy dispensing if used in conjunction with a counter top roll holder.
WHAT ARE KRAFT PAPERS?
Kraft papers relate to a range of papers that are manufactured using an extra chemical treating process on the ground paper pulp, which increases the overall strength of the paper. Versatile, strong and hard wearing, kraft paper is ideal for wrapping and protecting goods.
Pure kraft made from pure virgin fibres is the strongest paper and offers greater tear resistance
Imitation kraft made from 100% recycled material offers good protection and is more cost effective than pure kraft
Waxed kraft provides additional moisture and corrosion protection by the addition of an extra wax layer on pure kraft paper
WAXED KRAFT PAPER

The addition of a waxed finish provides a paper that can offer a moisture resistant barrier, which makes this paper ideal for use with wrapping oily or greasy items. This moisture protection also acts as a corrosion inhibitor, which makes this perfect for use in shipping of metallic components and machine parts.

Made using a process to remove all acidic pulp, acid free tissue paper is an ideal wrapping product for delicate and fragile goods going into storage. Acid free tissue paper is also an ideal protective product for precious metals, like jewellery or silverware. Tissue paper is lightweight, soft, flexible and economical, so is also an ideal product to use for interleaving or as void fill in larger packages.
Offcuts are the white, unprinted, cost effective paper sheets, more commonly recognised as fish and chip paper. The paper is strong, clean, economical and flexible, therefore it is ideal for protective wrapping of delicate items and also makes a cost effective void fill.
