Omega Phi Beta Scores During the Month of November! By: Arielle Steward, member of Omega Phi Beta

Bringing in the month of November, The ISU Collective of Omega Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated held their second annual Goals for Hope Benefit Soccer Tournament. This tournament was hosted in collaboration with the men of Lambda Upsilon Lambda Fraternity, Incorporated and it was nothing short of a success. The tournament consisted of teams with members from the ISU Women’s Soccer Club, Alpha Delta Pi, Alpha Psi Lambda National, Incorporated, Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity, Incorporated and also men of Lambda Upsilon Lambda. This year, teams were competed for over $500 dollars in prizes, including cash prizes and certificates from generous sponsors in the community such as Applebee’s, Jimmy Johns, The Edge and more. As a collective, the sisters had hope to surpass their previous amount raised of $200+ dollars, and this is exactly what they did! Bringing in an $300+ as proceeds was a very proud moment. The tournament proceeds were being donated to AF3IRM; Omega Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated’s national beneficiary. AF3IRM serves as a national organization that makes numerous efforts to provide resources and opportunities to survivors of intimate partner violence and other gender injustice. The ISU Collective of Omega Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated hopes to continue this tradition of Goals for Hope and make a bigger impact each year. They would like to thank every individual that participated in the tournament!
