my house with my dad, my nerves went away. Then while I waited outside the room where all the guests were, I just wanted to get in there and see him. I felt so overwhelmed and emotional and could see James was holding back the tears when I stood beside him.”

Who were your bridesmaids? “My bridesmaids were my two best friends, Kim and Sara. I also had James’ sister as a bridesmaid, although she was with James on the morning of the wedding. My maid of honour was my big sister Nicola.”

What was your theme? “It was around Christmas and the venue had their trees and decorations up. Our colour scheme was white, silver and royal blue.” What was the highlight of your day? “Our afternoon tea was

amazing at the Staffordshire County Buildings. We had a relaxed atmosphere where two families came together to celebrate with us. James also decided to play a song and sing to me, despite, on his own admission, his poor guitar skills and questionable singing abilities!”
