Foyer Groups

Foyer is a ministry for those who enjoy forming new friendships with fellow church members and meeting with existing church friends in monthly gatherings. The total of around 90—100 members are divided into groups that are regrouped twice yearly. We enjoy meals together in our homes or in restaurants. These small groups of 8-10 people have opportunities to get to know others in casual settings. We have such fun! Most of our groups only met one time in 2020 due to the COVID affects beginning in March 2020. We celebrate that several people contacted us wanting to sign up for Foyer!

Grief Groups

This year we held one grief group in the spring. We started out in February meeting in the Parlor with seven participants. Then the pandemic hit and we had to go virtual, so we finished the last couple of weeks on Zoom. While not as personal, the group ended feeling good about their participation. We will plan to have another group when we can once again meet in person. In the meantime, if you are grieving the loss of a loved one and would like to talk, please contact Pastor Nancy DeStefano to speak privately.

Funeral Guild

The Funeral Reception Guild typically provides a reception at the church following a funeral or memorial service if requested by the family. Unfortunately, we were not able to offer receptions for the funerals that occurred after the start of the Covid pandemic.

MacMaster Library

The MacMaster Church library ministry seeks to serve our congregation with spiritually enriching books that explore the meaning of scripture, tradition, reason, and faith. The collection also includes contemporary social issues and help with major life changes and losses. The Children’s area has a large selection of picture books for young children, in addition to award winning titles for older kids.

This year before the pandemic, we were able to add 10 new books and some excellent donations.
