“SKEWMORPHIC MOTIF” WHICH MEANS IT IS USED TO REPRESENT MAN MADE OBJECT. IT IS USED IN THE DESIGN TO REPRESENT “ME,AS THE CONCEPT “ROOTS AND RHYTHM” DEALS WITH CONNEC”NG THE PAST AND THE PRESENT TOGETHER .

BAMBOO FACADE WHICH REFLECTS THE CULTURAL SIGNIFICANCE OF THE MATERIAL. ALSO REGARDED IN THE PRESENT FOR BEING SUSTAIANABLE AND ITS STRENGTH.

REINFORCED CONCRETE MIXED WITH TERRACOTTA CLAY. THE TERRACOTTA CLAY WILL ADD A WARM, EARTHY TONE TO THE CONCRETE, IT IMPROVES THE STRENGTH AND DURABILITY OF THE WALL WHILE STILL KEEPING THE CULTURAL NOLSTAGIC FEELING OF MUD WALL.

THIS MATERIAL CHOICE ALSO ENSURES RESISTANCE TO CORROSION, WATER DAMAGE, AND ELECTRICAL INSULATION. THE USE OF FRP FLOORING ENHANCES THE PIER’S LONGEVITY WHILE PROVIDING A SAFE AND COMFORTABLE SURFACE.

For me, Whether it be the deadly sins of Envy, pride or wrath, the baggage of childhood trauma, the crushing pressure of the patriarchy or the weight of self imposed pressure. My dream is that it gets better one day and I’d get rid of the chains that hold me down.

TITLE: RECOLLECTION OF THE PAST AND PRESENT (2022) SOFTWARES: STORY: “Recollection of the past and present” was born from my urge to disassociate from my being and just observe my life from an outside perspective. On one hand it helps with clarity on where I am headed and where I have been, on the other hand it hurts. I see my present self all though grown still living and fighting battles from the past or extremely grateful for the past. That made me realize that I’m currently existing as both my present and past self and that I find truly fascinating. Hence the repeating theme of duality in the composition.

TITLE: AMEBO(2022) SOFTWARES: STORY: Amebo is a Nigerian slang word for a gossip. The song “Amebo” by Uyi is about a woman who is tired of people gossiping about her.The song is a powerful anthem about self-love and empowerment. To capture the artist vision it was essential to show a strong woman in her element, moving into another space as a metaphor for her stepping away from the hater and throwing away all their words.
