Online ordering for photos closes on 22 August 2022. Any orders received by MSP aler this date will incur a $30.00 archive fee. If you wish to pay by cash, envelopes are available from the office. If you would like family photos taken, please obtain an envelope from the front office. Family photos can not be paid for online. Family photos for families with the youngest child in Kindy and above will take place on Friday. If your child is having a family photo please send them to school in their full school winter uniform. All family photos will be taken during the school day.

iShow, iExplain, iLearnt (Learning Journeys)

Parent Teacher Online

Learning Journeys will be held this Term for Kindergarten - Years 6 on 11 September, Monday of Week 9 from 3.20 – 6.00pm. The interview booking system will go live on the 21 August at 9.00am.

For these interviews we are conGnuing to use the internet-based booking system called Parent Teacher On-Line (PTO). It will save Gme for parents, staff and students! Using this system, you will be able to book the interview Gmes that suit you best from any internet-connected device. A computer will be available in the library during school hours if you do not have internet access at home or elsewhere.

Please access the system as follows:

• Click on the following link – haps://www.infantjesus.wa.edu.au/pto/

• Click “Obtain PIN/Password” and enter your email address. Your PIN will be emailed to you. This will email you your password to access PTO. Please note that the email address is the email address that you have provided as contact details with the school.

• Full instrucGons are provided to you aler log in. Please note the following points:

• When you log on, the system displays only your own child/children. Bookings are made for individual parents/guardians, not for couples. Couples can however log on to the system simultaneously to coordinate bookings. If two parents/guardians wish to aXend a single interview Gme slot, one parent/guardian should make the booking then both can aXend.

• You will only see Gme slots that are available at the Gme you are using the system. As Gme slots are booked for teachers, those Gme slots are no longer displayed as available. PTO prevents double-booking of teachers or parents/guardians.

• When you have made all the bookings you require, you can download or email a report of your bookings in Gme order for prinGng.

Soundwaves

This year we are working in partnership to assist children in learning phonics/sounds during 2023.

Week 3

• · ar a is most commonly represented by the grapheme ar (e.g. car, start).

• · The grapheme a for ar is olen used before s ss se ce x c or f ff ph (e.g. ask, craK).

• The grapheme al is an unusual way to represent ar a (e.g. half, palm).

• The grapheme au is an unusual way to represent ar a (e.g. laugh, aunt).

• · ar a is also the name of the leXer r. In discussing ar a we always clarify that we are talking about the phoneme, not the leXer name. For example, say ‘Which words have the ar a sound ?’ instead of ‘Which words have ar a ?’

Week 4

• · We usually use ss aler short vowel sounds at the end of single-syllable words (e.g. floss, dress).

• · We can use c for s ss se ce x c before e, i or y (e.g. cent, centre, city, pencil, cylinder, fancy).

• We can use x for the two sounds k c q ck x ch and s ss se ce x c (e.g. six, box, wax, next, sixty).

• The graphemes se and ce for are usually used at the end of words (e.g. mouse, horse, dance, peace).

• · The grapheme sc is an unusual way to represent s ss se ce x c (e.g. scissors, muscle).

• · The grapheme st is an unusual way to represent s ss se ce x c (e.g. listen, castle).
