Dear Lord, help me to live each day quietly, easily.
To lean upon your strength truthfully, res;ully. To wait for the unfolding of your will pa=ently, serenely. To meet others peacefully, joyfully.
To face tomorrow confidently, courageously. Amen.
Welcome to our Week 2 newsleXer.
A very warm welcome to Miss Napoli, Mrs McDonald and Miss Du Toit who have have joined our teaching team for the rest of the year. We look forward to hearing about all of the great things that are happening in your classrooms. Sadly we farewell Mrs Lauren Jenkins tomorrow. Mrs Jenkins has been a student at Infant Jesus, has spent most of her teaching career at our school and has made a huge impact on our community. We wish her all the best as she broadens her horizons. We are very pleased that Miss Kate Witkowski will be joining us full Gme to teach both Phys Ed and Health.
CongratulaGons to Mr Rocco Capolingua who last week competed in the World Taekwondo Grand Prix Challenge, winning his event and becoming the Open World Taekwondo champion. We are thrilled for Mr Capolingua!

CongratulaGons also to the Trutwein family who have welcomed a new baby brother to their family. Welcome to the Infant Jesus community Oliver.
We are trialling the URStrong program in our school with our Year 2, 3 and 5 classes. URStrong is about empowering kids with friendship skills and will become a school wide program next year. Teachers of these classes will be sending home informaGon via SeeSaw about what is happening in the classes and how parents can be involved. We will also be publishing some informaGon in our newsleXers.
Sadly some of our families experienced the loss of a loved one over the school holidays and our thoughts and prayers are with them during this difficult Gme. The school is here to support any of our families who experience loss and we are fortunate that we have our Social Worker on site to help guide them.

Our Year 3 and 5 students will be parGcipaGng in the Religious EducaGon Assessment (REA) next week. This assessment is a system wide assessment which helps to measure student learning of the content in the Religious EducaGon curriculum. NAPLAN results for these classes will be sent home tomorrow. If you haven’t already chaXed to your child’s teacher about these, please don’t hesitate to contact them directly to make an appointment.
If you have not already reserved your Gcket for our Surf Safe Online Parent session on the 9 August, please do so as soon as possible as Paul Litherland is an excellent presenter about online awareness and Cyber Safety. This event is free.
We have some fantasGc community events coming up this term, such as the Rock and Pop Music Bingo, Infant Jesus Day, our AthleGcs Carnival and Learning Journey’s. Please check the details for these as we would love to see everyone there.
