Men’s Captain Report

Congratulations to the Men’s Match Committee (Dan Greig, Brian Staples, Ian Wittber, Paul Doherty and Tony Friedlieb) and the Selection Committee (Kevin Coffey, Mal Burton, Alan Walton, Roger Palmer and yours truly) for all their efforts this season. Considering the disruptions and extra demands caused by COVID the efforts of all members of these committees were greatly appreciated.

Despite not winning any Pennants or achieving any promotions this season our Club has done very well. Considering we lost four Premier skippers from the previous season for our Premier side to finish 5th in Saturday pennants and 3rd Midweek was a very good performance.

The Club also benefited from being able to blood a number of new players in the higher grades. Congratulation to:

• Dan Nicholls, our "Bowler of the Year" who won both the Men’s

Singles and Pairs Club Championships and was a very valued and important member of our Premier division side • Paul Knight who was our "Men’s Pennant Bowler of the Year" • The "Saturday Pennants Bowler of the Year" was shared between

Steve Bomford and Alan Gallagher and the "Thursday Pennant

Bowler of the Year" was Jim Ironside.
