How to continue service from home

In times like this where we are all quarantined, it may seem difficult to continue service. That is no longer an issue since our resources committee has created excellent projects that you are able to complete from home. These resources can be found on the District website home page or just follow the link below. These will allow club members to engage in activities that will help our communities in a time when we can’t get together.

DCM I will be holding a Divisional Council Meeting over Zoom on April 30th at 2 pm.

I will send out more info as we get closer to the 30th. At this DCM, we will be discussing what’s going on at the district level. I will also be able to help club officers with understanding the importance of their roles.

DCLC Refund

With the cancellation of DCLC, many of you may have been wondering about a refund. There will be a refund that is slightly less than the $150 you paid due to vendors needing to be paid for labor and materials. You will also receive the shirts and folder you paid for. Due to missing out on leadership forums at DCLC, it is heavily encouraged to attend Fall Leadership Rallies to find out what you would have missed from convention.

ICON

The International Convention for 2020 is being held in San Francisco, CA from July 1-5. It is a great experience traveling with the Illinois Eastern-Iowa District. The purpose of ICON is to vote for the next International Board and to attend forums to further develop leadership skills and gather ideas for service projects that you can bring back to your home club. ICON is more expensive than DCLC. The trip usually costs just under $1000, but don’t let that discourage you; it is a memory of a lifetime to attend.
