Insgroup was founded in 1978 in Houston, Texas, by a group of entrepreneurs committed to a shared vision to provide the security necessary for business owners and individuals to pursue their dreams. Over the next four decades and through changes in leadership and tremendous growth, our vision has remained unchanged. Leading up to 2020 Insgroup had become the largest closely-held firm in Texas and one of the top 100 in the country.
With such an amazing growth period for our firm, we continued to focus on valuedriven solutions to maximize the relationships with our clients. This is why in November of 2020, Insgroup strategically partnered with Baldwin Risk Partners (BRP), a publicly traded brokerage based in Tampa Bay, Florida now with over 1,500 employees in offices across the country. Insgroup is able to provide an unlimited amount of value to the markets we serve with expertise in Property & Casualty Brokerage, Employee Benefit Consulting, Private Risk Services, and Surety. We serve clients nationwide and partner with premier national, regional and specialty insurance carriers across the United States. Our partnership with BRP was made possible based on the fact that our mission and values were aligned almost identically. Our vision for this partnership is to continue being the premier provider of insurance brokerage, risk management, and employee benefit services through uniquely-focused specialization across industries, products and regions. This is something that we live and breath in every meeting, project and deliverable that we are a part of. We do this to create irreplaceable value for clients, colleagues and partner firms through thoughtful advice, exceptional service, and continuous growth.
