Introduction Dubai has historically been the busiest trading port in the Arabian Gulf connecting the East-West trading routes. The key reasons to attract majority players in this industry is a combination of ease of doing business, favorable and predictable policy framework, availability of maritime innovation and levels of openness, information sharing and political stability. Under the visionary captainship of the Government of Dubai Maritime City Authority (DMCA) is implementing measures and incentives to ensure the emirate’s is positioned as a hub for maritime commerce and also have a significant impact on attracting investments in the maritime sector.

UAE Maritime Week The UAE Maritime Week will witness an action packed week with attendance from international and regional ship owners and operators, ports, financiers and other maritime professionals. It will comprise of a full programme for maritime professionals to network, do business, strengthen and nurture new relationships, whilst hearing about the latest disruptive maritime technologies, innovations and smart transformations in the industry, manpower, trends and challenges from relevant thought leaders in the sector.

The UAE Maritime Week acts as a platform for maritime professionals to network, do business, strengthen and nurture new relationships.

The Dawn of a New Era Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, the UAE Maritime Week welcomes international dignitaries, high level government leaders and industry professionals from the maritime industry to the landmark event. Since the maritime industry is facing a monumental transformation, the event will serve as a catalyst to receive ideas and suggestions for a better landscape to all players in the maritime community. The UAE Maritime Week will feature Dubai Maritime Summit 2018 where the second edition of the Dubai Innovation Awards will be launched and a variety of unique networking and social events will take place to facilitate educational and business opportunities.
