EVACUATION ROUTES Evacuation routes should avoid potentially hazardous conditions and elements.
Avoid routes where objects may fall.
Avoid routes with obstructions. (e.g. toppled cabinets, fallen trees)
Avoid routes with combustible or hazardous chemicals.
Avoid routes that pose danger. (e.g. cutelectrical wires, broken glass)
Avoid flooded areas.
EVACUATION SITES Identifying the evacuation assembly area and/or sites and the evacuation route is critical in a School Emergency and Disaster Preparedness Plan.
