Magic At Meadow Gardens As Coquit lam Pro Michael Caan Shoot s 59 And Goes For A Swim Now that he?s dried himself off and had some time to reflect on the round of his life, Michael Caan still can?t quite believe what happened.

His round of 59, which ended with a celebratory dive into the pond surrounding the 18th green at Meadow Gardens Golf Course that went viral on social media, remains a bit of a blur. Especially the closing few holes, when the 27-year-old Coquitlam pro realized he had a chance to do something special.

Mike Weir Capt ures First PGA TOUR Champions Vict ory At Insperit y Invit at ional Former Masters champion Mike Weir won his first PGA Tour Champions event Sunday when he held steady with pars down the stretch for a 4-under 68 and let John Daly made the last mistake in the Insperity Invitational.

Weir, of Brights Grove, Ont., and Daly were tied going down the stretch at The Woodlands, which was reduced to 36 holes because of heavy rain earlier in the week.

The United States Golf Association (USGA) announced that 27 additional golfers, including major champions Adam Scott and Bubba Watson, have earned full exemptions into the 2021 U.S. Open Championship, to be played June 17-20 on the South Course at Torrey Pines Golf Course, in San Diego, Calif. These exemptions bring the number of fully exempt players to 7.

Ocean Course Put On Spect acular Show. W ill It Host Again?

The golf at the Ocean Course was thrilling, the images spectacular, the fans raucous in support of popular champion Phil Mickelson and the players generally admiring of the challenging seaside layout. Shouldn?t Kiawah Island get that open PGA Championship spot in 2030? ?There?s no timetable on that,? this year ?s tournament director, Ryan Ogle said.
