INSIDE THIS ISSUE In this month's issue of The Scorecard our cover story honours 3 people who exemplify what 'giving back to the game' is all about. All sports rely on the generosity and time of volunteerswho contribute so much to the success of all levels of any given pastime and golf is no exception. With the recognition of Barb Silvester, Trevor Brown and Michael Parker as Distinguished Service Award winners (page 12), British Columbia Golf is proud to continue the tradition of thanking those who selflessly give of themselvesfor the betterment of all. Congratulationsand thank you Barb, Trevor and Michael. In keeping with the theme of recognition it's also an honour PG 8 | FEB 2021

to share the news that longtime PGA of Canada member and McCleery GC Head Pro, Muncie Booth received the inaugural Warren Crosbie Community Leader of the Year Award (page 16). We also have a link to a great interview by ModGolf Podcast host, Colin Weston, as he spoke with PGA of America's Charles Dillahunt on the subject of 'Breaking Down Barriers' in the game of golf (page 32). Golfers will be intrigued by the updating of the Rules Of Amateur Status released by the R&A and USGA (page 30). Note also that this year 's BC GOLFEXPO will be a virtual affair, find out all about that and the great deals to be had online on page 14. Please enjoy your golf and stay safe.
