Releasing The Clubhead Toward The Target

To get t he feel, t ake a golf ball in your lower (t rail) hand and feel like you are going t o t hrow / release t hat ball t o t he t arget . See The Full Tip Here PG 16 | JULY 2020

What throwing a ball lookslike with a club isthat aswe turn, the trail hand is going to fully extend... It feelswe are going to shake hands with someone (Image #1) and then continue through to pat ourselves on the lead shoulder (Image #2).

Fixing That Takeaway An alignment rod & range bucket can give you t he perfect t akeaway.

"Quite often I see golfers taking it away inside... The first move actually is hands, shouldersand armsstraight back 1-2 feet, then a hinge of the hands..." PG 18 | JULY 2020

See The Full Tip Here

Hit t ing Up To Hit BOM BS

Just put a headcover 8'-10" ahead of your t ee'd ball

PG 20 | JULY 2020

"When we hit with a negative attack angle, we get too much spin. Simply focuson hitting up on the ball (missing the headcover), get that upward attack angle and hit those bombs!" See The Full Tip Here

W hat is your int ent when you get over t hat put t ?

Shown above is dat a for hockey player Mike Commodore aft er a put t ing lesson wit h Scot t at t he Dynamic Mot ion Golf Performance Cent re in Calgary.

Isit to make that

putt or isyour intent something else... make a perfect stroke, hit the perfect line? When you are focused on putting the ball into the hole and not worried about your stroke, you're going to start making a lot more putts. See The Full Tip Here

PG 22 | JULY 2020

How To Hit A "No-Cut -Across" Flop Shot

Dropping your hands down will help "re-square" t he opened clubface allowing a swing more along t he int ended t arget line

1

2

3 PG 24 | JULY 2020

Rather than aiming left after opening the clubface, instead drop the handle down lower to allow the open clubface to be more square to your target line. To do this, #1 hinge from the hipsmore, #2 bend your kneesmore, and #3 widen your stance. Thiswill then allow you to swing a lot more down your target line. See The Full Tip Here

Lose That Chicken W ing

The Chicken W ing leads t o inconsist ent cont act and a lack of dist ance. PG 26 | JULY 2020

A chicken wing finish hasthe elbows separating and the armsbending. For many thisiscaused by their chest pointing down to the ground too much causing the arms to bend. So do the opposite. Point your chest up toward the sky as much as possible & extend your arms. See The Full Tip Here

Turn your hybrid int o a "GreenSeeking machine"

Players move off t he ball t oo much because t hey are t rying t o force t he dist ance... t heir body moves t oo much, t heir head moves back or up and down. It 's a killer in t he swing for good cont act . PG 28 | JULY 2020

Start by turning the club upside down and take a couple of practice swings. Then, when you switch the club back, take a couple more... you will be much more aware of the clubhead. Thiswill help you stay more centred and therefore hit more solid, more consistent shots. See The Full Tip Here

Use LESS Arms & M ORE Body 1 Most golfers t ake t he club back like t his and t hen t hrow it down

2

3

Pret end t he club is your spine and t hen get t he but t of t he club going int o your belly but t on

Make a turn back & through making sure to keep the IMAGES MIRRORED TO SHOW RIGHT club head in front HANDED SW ING of you (in line with your spine). This 4 5 6 will get the lower body activated and hipsturning. The more you work on it, the better you are going to get! See The Full Tip Here PG 30 | JULY 2020

A Great Check For W eight Transfer

Put 2 pieces of t ape on a mat ... st icky side up.

PG 32 | JULY 2020

Imagine there isa ball right in the middle of the two piecesof tape and then take a swing. With amateurs, the lower and upper body may hang back and they will cast the club catching the back piece of tape. With better players with better weight transfer, the right hip releases, they get all the way through the golf ball and the clubsgrab the front piece of tape. See The Full Tip Here

Chris Ward credit s Professional Bill McDougall wit h showing him t his t ip

Get M ore Dept h At The Top Of The Back Swing Many amateurstake the club too straight going back or even outside... thiswill lead to a lack of depth at the top of the back swing. Instead, keep the handle closer to your right pocket asyou take the club back. From there just continue to rotate and get your hands more behind you. Thiswill then help get you to Clubhead come from the Going inside on the st raight back downswing. or out side PG34 | JULY 2020

Keep t he handle close t o your right pocket as you t ake t he club away

Improve Your Chipping Using A BIG Ball

W indermere G&CC Head Professional Jason Hnat iw pract icing in his basement before t he courses opened.

"One of the most common problemsI see isseparation of armsand body where arm & handstake over. Take a small ball and put it between your armsslightly below the elbowsand then chip. The ball forcesyou to rotate your shoulders and ultimately rotate your body asopposed to releasing your hands." See The Full Tip Here

Learn Pressure Shift W it h The Wat er Bot t le Drill If we lose our dynamic loft or the face getsopen in the impact area and we start to flip that face a little, some weird stuff happenswith the trail arm and leg. #1 Set up wat er bot t le inside t rail foot

The trail foot comesout and away toward the golf ball and that ankle comesup and around the water bottle asit exits(see left). Fixing thiscan actually fix the impact area problems. What we want isthe trail heel staying closer to the ground much, much later into the swing.

#2 St art downswing by bumping bot t le wit h t rail inst ep

So bump the water bottle and then try to drive the trail leg and heel backward while turning to face our target. You will get tonsof acceleration in the hip and mid-section and lotsof rotation late into the swing. See The Full Tip Here

W here are you aiming?

"Know what it feels like to be set up properly and get used to that because that's what you want it to feel like on the golf course."
