A word from our co-founder Colin Thompson On behalf of all the Clever Duck Media Team I welcome you to the tenth year of the International Gaming Awards, hosted at the wonderful Intercontiental Hotel Park Lane.

The awards is the culmination of the last twelve months efforts, innovation and hard work in the industry and congratulations to all those who have reached the finals.

For the winners there is a podium appearance, a chance to thank and congratulate the whole team that has got you on stage for these magnificant awards and collect one of the most prestigous awards within the gaming industry.

However the most important reason why we are all here is to support those less fortunate in taking part in the auction and raffle. Our supporting charities are Care International & Children with Cancer, we ask if you can donate any amount it will truly be

Children With Cancer

The 10th International Gaming Awards is supporting two charities this year and we are proud to offer our support to Care International along with Children with Children with Cancer UK is the leading national children’s charity dedicated to the fight against childhood cancer.

Almost 4,000 children and young people are diagnosed with cancer every year in the UK. Our aims are to determine the causes, find cures and provide care for children with cancer.

We want to help more children with cancer across the UK. That’s why we invest millions of pounds every year in essential research, and welfare programmes and raising awareness.

More than 70 children and young people are diagnosed with cancer every week in the UK.

We are currently funding more than 50 research projects at centres of excellence around the UK. These projects are investigating a broad range of childhood cancers – helping us to better understand these diseases and to find more effective, less toxic ways of treating them.

All applications for funding are rigorously assessed by members of our Scientific Advisory Panel, with the assistance of other leading experts from around the world. In this way we can be confident that we are funding only the most promising research.

When a child is diagnosed with cancer, it can be a frightening experience for the whole family. Treatment normally starts immediately, is often given many miles from home and can last for several years.

One of the greatest medical success stories of the last century is the amazing growth in the survival from childhood cancer. Fifty years ago, only a quarter of children diagnosed with cancer survived. Today, more than 80 per cent of young patients can be successfully treated.

Andrew Love - Chairman of the Ritz Club London for his lifetime of work within the gaming industry and his philanthropic activities and is a member of several charitable committees.

Dr Stanley Ho - Original founder of Macau gambling and still the largest casino operator in Macau. Dr Ho received numerous honours and awards. Dr Ho known for his philanthropic generosity and active participation in the promotion of education, sports and other community services.

Bertil Knutsson - former Chairman of the TCSJohnHuxley Group, founder of the company and involved in many gaming online companies.

Bill Cammegh for founding the Casino Manufacuturing company that supplies casino operators inEurope, Macau, Australia and the US. Dr Lui Che-woo Founder & Chairman Galaxy Entertainment Group one of the largest casino operators in Macau. He receive multiple accolades for his work and philanthropy, including MBE from the Queen.

s we all sit down at the 10th International Gaming Awards this evening how many of us are thinking; Competition sucks, I mean, what if they do it better than us? What if they do it bigger than us? What if they win tonight? Crap!!!

Learn from the enemy. Everyone knows the saying, “Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.” This is a tactic from The Art of War. If you pay attention, your competition can teach you the biggest lessons, the lessons you learn from your competition are priceless as long as you are willing to listen, learn, and implement.

Imitation is the best form of flattery. If your competition is copying things that you worked

We know it will be hard to do, but if one of your competitors is named a winner tonight then you have helped them this year to succeed, without you they would not have been as good, so they really should thank you in their acceptance speech, but don’t be too surprised if they don’t.
