ACTIVIDADES EXTRAESCOLARES- AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS

ACTIVIDADES DIARIAS/ EVERY DAY PROVIDERS

COMUNICADO OFICIAL

Estimada familia,

El día 7 de Septiembre comienzan las actividades que ofrece AFTER SCHOOL DREAMS. Se podrá reservar plaza una vez recibáis el PDF con todas las actividades nuevas para el curso 23/24. Este año, como novedad hemos decidido introducir un código de conducta, el cual os presentamos a continuación:

RESERVA DE PLAZAS

- Para reservar plaza de actividades, tardes o club, campamentos o fiestas, deberá ser solamente a través del email de la empresa: afterschooldreamscanada@gmail.com

- Las plazas de las actividades diarias (Mini-cocina, gimnasia, multi-deporte, tenis, taekwondo, ping pong, francés, apoyo y flamenco) son limitadas, con lo cual, debéis reservar la plaza por trimestre; No pedimos el pago por adelantado y se aceptaran cancelaciones con 24 horas de antelación; es decir, si se cancela 24 horas antes de que comience la clase, no se os cobrará por esa sesión, si se cancela dentro de las 24 horas, esa clase se cobrará.

- Tanto los clientes existentes de años anteriores como los clientes nuevos, deben reservar plaza e informar de los días los cuales su hijo/a se quedará a las extraescolares.

UNIFORME:

- Las actividades de mini cocina, gimnasia, multi-deporte, tenis, francés, apoyo flamenco y Ping pong tienen como uniforme una camiseta, la cual es obligatoria.

-Para comprarla, se puede pedir a través de la web. Os enviaremos el link al registraros para esa actividad.

PRECIOS Y PAGOS

- Tardes divertidas y club de deberes es 100% flexible, tanto a la hora de reservar como a la hora de recogida, aunque el precio no variará independientemente de la hora de recogida.

- Las facturas se enviarán cada mes y medio (Cada half-term y final de trimestre)(6 facturas en total). Las facturas incluirán todas las cantidades de cada actividad que haya realizado su hijo/a pero no incluirán un desglose diario de cada niño/a.

- El pago de la factura debe ser realizado a la semana de recibirla.

- Los pagos de los campamentos deben ser realizados con antelación para poder reservar su plaza. Si se cancela con 48 horas de antelación, esa cantidad se podrá utilizar para otro día de campamento, no se devolverá el dinero.

RETRASOS RECOGIDA

- Somos conscientes de que todo el mundo puede retrasarse alguna vez por muchas razones, pero lamentablemente nos ha afectado mucho en los últimos años. Por eso hemos tenido que imponer sanciones en función del tiempo del retraso.

- Retrasos a las 16:30: Los alumnos de recogida a las 16:30, tienen 5 minutos de margen para ser recogidos, es decir, estaremos en la salida hasta las 16:35. Una vez sean las 16:35, los alumnos que no hayan sido recogidos, se les llevará a tardes y club donde se empezará otra sesión.

- Retrasos a las 17:30: Esperaremos a las 17:35. Los retrasos de hasta 25 minutos (hasta las 18:00) serán penalizados con una sanción de £15. Los retrasos a partir de los 25 minutos serán penalizados con una sanción de £50.

- Como hemos explicado antes, un retraso no solo nos afecta a nosotros, si no retrasa la hora de cierre del colegio y de otros trabajadores que estén trabajando ese día.

Con este código de conducta esperamos clarificar cualquier duda que pueda existir y esperamos que nos entendáis.

Dear family,

The activities offered by AFTER SCHOOL DREAMS will start on September 7th 2023. You will be able to book a place once you have received the PDF with all of the new activities for the 23/24 academic year.

This year, as a novelty, we have decided to introduce the following protocol for bookings, payments and pick up delays which we present below:

BOOKINGS

- To reserve a place for activities, fun afternoons or homework club, camps or parties, it should only be done through the company email: afterschooldreamscanada@gmail.com

- The places for daily activities (mini-cooking, gymnastics, multi-sport, tennis, taewtaekwondo, ping pong, French, tutoring and flamenco) are limited, therefore you must reserve the place per term. We do not ask for payment in advance, however, cancellations will only be accepted 24 hours in advance; which means that if it is cancelled 24 hours before the class starts, you will not be charged for that session, however, if it is cancelled within 24 hours, the class will be charged.

- Both existing clients from previous years and new clients must reserve a place and inform us of the days which your child will be staying with us.

UNIFORM

- The activities of mini cooking, gymnastics, multi-sports, tennis, French, flamenco support and Ping pong have a T-shirt as a uniform, which is mandatory.

- To buy it, you can order it through the web. We will send you the link when you register for that activity.

PRICES AND PAYMENTS

- Fun afternoons and homework club is 100% flexible, both at the time of booking and at the time of pick up, although the price will not vary regardless of the time of collection.

- Invoices will be sent every month and a half (every half-term and end of term)(6 invoices in total). Invoices will include the amount for each activity your child has attended but will not include a daily breakdown for each child.

- The payment of the invoice must be made within a week of receiving it.

- Payments for the camps must be made in advance in order to reserve your place. If you make a cancellation for a day, 48 hours in advance, that amount can be used for another day of camp, the money will not be refunded.

PICK UP / DELAYS

- We are aware that everyone can be late for many reasons but unfortunately it has affected us a lot thought the last terms. Due to that, we have had to impose penalties depending on the length of the delay.

- Delays at 16:30 p.m.: Children who get pick up at 16:30 p.m. have 5 minutes margin, meaning, we will be at the exit until 16:35 p.m. Once it is 16:35 p.m., students who have not been picked up will be taken to tardes or club where another session will begin.

- Delays at 17:30 p.m: We will wait until 17:35 p.m. Delays of up to 25 minutes ( until 18:00 pm) will be penalized with a penalty of £15. Delays of more than 25 minutes will be penalized with a penalty of £50.

- As we have explained before, a delay not only affects us, but also delays the closing time of the school and other workers who are working that day.

TARDES DIVERTIDAS (INFANTIL 3-2 PRIMARIA)

Y CLUB DE DEBERES(3 PRIMARIA – SEXTO)

De lunes a viernes, de 15:30 a 17:30

Como cada curso escolar, ofrecemos actividades de entretenimiento a todos los alumnos y alumnas de Infantil y Primaria para que pasen un rato divertido después de las clases y puedan desconectar jugando en el caso de los más pequeños o haciendo los deberes.

Tardes Divertidas y Club de deberes cuenta con maestros y maestras con varios años de experiencia, DBS y curso de primeros auxilios.

La espera de los niños a todos aquellos padres, que por motivos laborales tienen que recogerlos más tarde, será mucho más amena, entretenida y divertida.

El coste es de £5 por hora (Club de Deberes) y £5 por hora (Tardes divertidas), pudiendo elegir el tiempo necesario acomodando así su agenda laboral, el coste no varía independientemente de la hora de recogida. A continuacion os explicaremos brevemente lo que se hará en cada actividad.

Minicooking

La cocina se convierte en el principal ingrediente del aprendizaje. Gracias a esta actividad, los niños y niñas, mientras aprenden a cocinar y se divierten, expresan su creatividad a través del mundo de la cocina y trabajan las actividades cotidianas básicas (platos típicos, costumbres, medidas, etc.).

Trabajaremos con diferentes ingredientes para también aprender que alimentos son saludables y cuales no tanto. A los niños les encanta cocinar, y a través de esta actividad los niños se lo pasarán bien y se divertirán con el aprendizaje de la cocina y de los alimentos. Esta actividad tiene un coste de £10 por clase. Se impartirán los lunes de 15:30-16:30.

Taekwondo

La práctica de este Arte Marcial, estimula y desarrolla la elasticidad, la fuerza, la coordinación y la resistencia. También mejora sus reflejos, aumenta la capacidad pulmonar, la resistencia cardiovascular y potencia el conocimiento de su cuerpo.

Esta actividad tiene un coste de £15 por clase Se impartirá los lunes de 15:30-17:00

Gimnasia

El entrenamiento de gimnasia enfatiza la fuerza del peso corporal para mejorar la fuerza central, los reflejos, la extensión y flexión de los músculos de todo el cuerpo y el equilibrio.

Los gimnastas son algunos de los atletas

más fuertes del mundo y el entrenamiento de fuerza de la gimnasia puede ayudar a tonificar todos los músculos y ayudar a disminuir el dolor y el dolor muscular crónico. Esta actividad tiene un coste de £15 por clase.

Se impartirán los martes de 15:30 a 17:00.

Multi-deporte

Al mejorar la fuerza física, la flexibilidad, el equilibrio y las habilidades motoras finas, el tenis te ayudará a dominar otras actividades fuera del campo.

El tenis es uno de los pocos deportes que requiere muchas “piezas móviles” y

puede superar rápidamente la coordinación mano-ojo de un niño a una edad muy temprana. Esta actividad tiene un coste de £10 por clase. Se impartirán los jueves de 15:30 a 16:30.

A parte de las clases grupales, ofrecemos clases particulares de tenis los martes de 15:30-16:30 o 16:30-17:30, los miércoles de 16:30-17:30, los jueves de 16:30-17:30 o los viernes de 15:30-16:30 o 16:30-17:30.

El precio por clase particular es de £35 por hora.

Francés

Los niños aprenden tan solo escuchando y jugando. Las clases de francés están diseñadas para alumnos/as de Infantil y Primaria con la finalidad de aprender un lenguaje de una forma divertida y diferente.

Esta actividad tiene un coste de £12 la clase. Se impartirá los jueves de 15:30 a 16:30.

Flamenco

Aprenderán el compás del baile por sevillanas y distintos bailes flamencos, coordinando manos, brazos y pies, así como el compás con las palmas.

Esta actividad tiene un coste de £10 por clase.

Se impartirán los viernes de 15:30 a 16:30.

Ping pong

Al practicar tenis de mesa se mejora la velocidad y sincronización de los movimientos por lo que se trabaja con intensidad capacidades como los reflejos o la capacidad de reacción y acción. La preparación psicológica adquiere importancia al necesitarse un gran desarrollo y agilidad

mental. Trabaja la agilidad mental.

Esta actividad es para alumnos desde primero de primaria hacia arriba.

Esta actividad tiene un coste de £10 por

clase Se impartirá los Viernes de 3:30-4:30

Refuerzo escolar

Las clases de apoyo escolar derivan principalmente de la necesidad de modificar los hábitos de estudio y de incorporar nuevos métodos y herramientas de aprendizaje, de acuerdo con la edad, el nivel del curso y del alumno/a. Apoyamos en la escritura, lectura, comprensión, iniciación al

cálculo, y todo aquello que presente dificultad para el niño/a.

Esta actividad tiene un coste de £12 por clase en grupo reducidos.

Se impartirán de lunes a viernes de 15:30 a 16:30.

TARDES DIVERTIDAS (INFANTIL 3-2 PRIMARIA) AND HOMEWORK CLUB

(YEAR 3 – YEAR 6)

Monday to Friday from 3.30pm to 5:30pm.

As with every academic year, we offer leisure activities to all students from Infantil to Primaria to have a good time after school. They can also recover from the long school day while they’re playing with their friends or doing their homework.

Tardes Divertidas and Homework Club are staffed by qualified teachers with DBS and First Aid training course.

The cost will be £5 per hour (Homework Cub) and £5 per hour (Tardes Divertidas)

and you can choose your time needed in order to fit your work agenda, the cost will not vary depending on the time of pick up.

The wait for the children of all those parents, who for work reasons, have to pick them up later, will be much more enjoyable, entertaining and fun.

We will now give you a brief explanation of each activity that will go ahead this year.

Minicooking

The kitchen becomes the main ingredient of learning. Thanks to this activity, the boys and girls, while they learn to cook and have fun, they also express their creativity through the world of cooking and work on basic daily activities (typical dishes, customs, measurements, etc.).

We will work with different ingredients to also learn which foods are healthy and which are not. Children love to cook, and with this activity, children will have a good time and have fun learning about cooking and food.

The cost is £10 per class.

Classes are held every Monday from 3:30-4:30.

Taekwondo

The practice of this Martial Art stimulates and develops elasticity, strength, coordination and resistance. It also improves your reflexes, increases lung capacity, cardiovascular endurance, and enhances your body awareness.

The cost is £15 per class

Classes are held on Mondays from 3:30  to 5:00.

Gymnastic

Gymnastics training emphasises body weight strength to improve core strength, reflexes, whole body muscle extension and flexion, and balance.

The cost is £15 per class.

Classes are held every Tuesday from 3:30 to 5:00.

Multi-sports

Sport helps us develop physically and mentally and helps us to stay fit and healthy. Multisport offers a wide range of sports, where boys and girls can develop and highlight their skills.

The cost is £10 per class.

Classes are held every Wednesday from 3:30-4:30

Tennis

By improving physical strength, flexibility, balance, and fine motor-skills, tennis will lend to helping your child master other activities off the court.

French

The child learns purely by listening and playing. The french clases are designed for kids from Infantil and Primaria for them to learn a language in a fun and different way.

The cost is £12 per class.

Classes are held on Thursday from 3:30 to 4:30

Flamenco

They will learn Sevillanas and different Flamenco dances, coordinating their hands, arms and feet, as well as clapping their hands and learning this beautiful dance.

The cost is £10 per class.

Classes are held on Friday from 3:30 to 4:30.

Table tennis

Practicing table tennis improves the speed and synchronization of movements, which is why skills such as reflexes or the ability to react and act are worked with intensity. Table tennis improves your mental agility.

This activity is for students in primero and upwards. The cost is £10 per class

Classes are held on Fridays from  3:30-4:30.

Tutoring

Tutoring arise mainly from the need to modify study habits and how to introduce these new methods and learning tools in accordance with the child’s age, the grade and the child’s level.

We support and teach Spanish writing, Reading, comprehension, maths, and all educational areas that would represent a difficulty for the students.

The cost is £12 per hour in a group.

Classes are held from Monday to Friday between 3:30 and 4:30.

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We are delighted to bring a splash of creativity to your children with our weekly The Frame Art Club.

The objective of The Frame Art Club is to give simple, fun and creative workshops during the school term. Children will explore their imagination while learning about art, design techniques and art history. In each session they will be introduced to a specific artist and their associated art movement, while they create their own artwork. We will provide examples and give a step by step guidance to develop their technique and creativity. The Frame Art Club stimulates children’s artistry and takes them on an exciting art history adventure.

All materials will be provided by the tutors.

The cost is £160 per Term which may be payable at the beginning of each term. We will do a trial session if required. Spaces are limited. Contact us as soon as possible!

Our classes are run by trained, qualified, experienced professionals.

The club is open to all children between the ages of 7-12 years old. It will run every Tuesday afternoon during the term from 15.30-17.00.

Boo Theatre & Entertainment are delighted to be returning with our Drama Clubs for the AUTUMN 2023 term.

Boo Theatre is run by Jake & Becky - both professional actors with over ten years’ experience & a true passion for teaching & introducing others to the arts. They have both appeared in an array of shows, including most recently performing in the Olivier Nominated show ‘Oi Frog & Friends’ (West End & UK tour). Both Becky & Jake have an array of professional credits between them (The Gruffalo West End, UK and International Tour, Cartoon Network, BBC Doctors, Rapunzel UK tour, CBBC UK Tour, to name a few) and both have performed professionally all over the world. Boo Theatre and Entertainment work alongside a fantastic team of industry professionals & aim to bring our professional experience & knowledge to create fun & creative clubs building on key life skills such as self-confidence, the importance of teamwork, public speaking and reading as well as developing skills in Acting, Song & Dance.

The club will run from 1520-1620 on: TUESDAYS (Primaria 3-6 )& THURSDAYS (Infantil - Priamaria 2) from W/C 11th September– 4th December (12 weeks) (There will be no clubs in Half Term)

Go to https://epe.instituto-camoes.pt/inscricao and fill out the registration form online. When you are done, click the button that says “Inscrever”.

How much is it?

Registration for Portuguese classes costs

87,60GBP per annum (€100). Payment of this fee is required to attend Portuguese extracurricular courses. This sole payment entitles you to attend the course for the academic year. You will also be offered a textbook and the possibility of applying for a Camões' language proficiency exam.

In specific circumstances the registration fee may be reduced. This is the case for families registering siblings or with an unemployed parent as well as for our associated schools as families have often already made a contribution.

Log onto the platform online

https://epe.instituto-camoes.pt or via the EPE Digital App with your username and password and click on the button that says “Renovar inscrição”.

How do I prove I am unemployed?

You need to provide us with an up-to-date document from the government that clearly states your circumstances. For example, sign in to your Universal Credit account to find it.

How do I pay?

You may pay directly to the Portuguese Education Department’s (Coordenação de Ensino) bank account using the student’s EPE number as a reference.

How do I prove I am a single parent?

After you complete your payment, you must send proof of payment to the Portuguese Department. This must clearly display the reference number and the date of payment.
