This young Pastor was awarded by Tienda Heneral: Top Seller Award, Best Booth Award, Most Trendy Product Award, and Most Innovative Award last June 2023 at Veranza Mall. They have supplied Pasalubong Products for Kamari Resort, Anvy Resort Bai Resort in Glan; SG Farm in Polomolok; DTI Gensan; Company's like JM Shawarma andMerryMango.Theysupplied products also for NDMU Law School, Dole Philippines School, andNDDU.

One of the rising young entrepreneurs in GensanisMissIvyCabading-Limfounderof Made in Moriah a start-up business that sells unique and personalized items that specializes in wooden products. She is a Siliman Graduate, who was once the only music teacher at all levels in the Dole PhilippinesSchool.Therecomesatimethat she needs to practice her faith more and leave her job. She started as a Christian Youth Leader at UCCP Church, a Protestant Church, and taught guitar lessons for free then with the love for art began personalizing guitars and made a living fromit.

Made in Moriah’s products are personalized wooden items for gifts and souvenirs through laser engraving Their items are perfect for personalized gift-giving, event souvenirs, tourist spot souvenirs, and corporate give-away. Their items are perfect for the gift-giving seasons such as valentines, Christmas, Father’s Day, Mother’s Day, and many other celebrations, and they supply some of the most prominent tourist attractions here in Region 12.

Miss Ivy decided to produce such products because her husband’s talents and interests align with music and arts, and he loves to do wood crafts. And Miss Ivy is very much into personalizing everything and making things unique and personal. Their business is a result of their combined interests And they also saw the potential of personalized gift items in GenSan since nobody within the city is making these products yet, and there is a rise in the interest and demand for customized items.

Their target customers are those individuals who are into giving personalized and unique gifts, engaged couples who are about to get married or those wedding organizers and event organizers that handle significant events, and tourist spots all over the country, and those companies and local government offices seeking unique and customized corporate event giveaways.

The Story Behind Being an Entrepeneur

Choosing to be an entrepeneur Handling the Tough Times

Several factors made Miss Ivy Cabading-Lim decide to become an entrepreneur. The promise of financial freedom, control of one’s time, and the potential to leave a legacy are a few of the reasons that come to her mind

At first, she was not planning on becoming an entrepreneur, but circumstances pushed her in this direction. What mainly attracted her to become an entrepreneur is the “control” she can have with her time, life, and financial freedom when she will take the entrepreneurship path versus when choosing the employment path She also likes the idea of being able to give jobs to those who are in need and contribute to the economy of our city. According to Miss Ivy, “Entrepreneurship is not a walk in the park; there are many challenges and learning curves, but building something that will potentially leave a legacy even after I am gone is gratifying”

Since church ministry is vital to her and her husband, they chose entrepreneurship to have a little more control of their time, considering that ministry is also a very demanding calling. And they hope that someday their business will grow into something more systematized or automated that will no longer be needed in operation fulltime

But their faith gives them hope during hard times. They believe that God is in control of everything and that if he is pleased and willing, He will allow them to succeed in what they do. “We do our best, learn through our mistakes and trials, and aim to improve” according to Miss Ivy. Slow seasons will enable them to rethink and recalibrate their business, like changing or looking for new markets they have yet to consider “The best way to persevere is to keep on setting goals to reach and learn in the process. Giving up is not an option for us entrepreneurs; it is all or nothing! That’s why we always have to stand when we fall because if we don’t, then our families will have nothing, we will have nothing.
