This can best be compared to a ponytail pulled to the side of the head. But where it differs is, we use five strings to make the braid. With a little practice, this will become very easy to make, also it offers plenty of variations options. We used a braid of extensions, but alternatively coloured strings can be used along with other hair accessories.

Perfect Curls Guide NATURAL CURLY HAIR

CURLING STRAIGHT HAIR

Wash and condition your hair with proper products. Most likely natural curly hair lacks of moisture so quality moisturising products can make a big difference. Treat your curls once a week with luxurious deep moisturising masques.

Use a diffuser! If you don’t have time to let your hair air dry then use diffuser to gently take away the extra moisture as well as giving your curls some bounce with scruntching technique. Remember to use low heat and speed setting.

Define your curls. There are many excellent styling products for natural curly hair in the IdHAIR products family. Choose a product that smoothens the cuticle layer, moisturises the hair and gives flexible hold. Scrunch and swirl curls into desired look.

Creating long lasting curls to natural straight hair takes a little patience - do one step sloppily and you might loose your style during the day.

Bonus tips!

Heat protect your hair. This won’t only protect the hair it’ll also give nice hold and makes your hair easier to style. Create a good root lift and volume with round brush while blow-drying.

Make sure you hair is completely dry before you start the curling process whether you’re using hot rollers, curling iron or straightening iron the extra moisture will flat down your curls in no time.

After creating the shape with a hot tool, attach the curls near scalp with small clips and let them cool down. Cooling the hair fixes the curl! In a hurry you can also gently blow cool air with your dryer to fix the style but be careful not to mess up your curls. If you’re using hot rollers just leave them on until they have cooled down.

The JuleParty The 22th of November IdHAIR Denmark opened the doors for this year’s biggest Christmas party. Live music and a hair show including nearly 25 models and dancers kick started the evening before the 200 hairdressers took over the stage and made the party of the year.

National blow-dry day Bring back the Blow Dry is a national campaign pioneered by hairdressing electrical masters EGO professional. The campaign has been created to raise support and awareness to women all over the country, even the world, who are need of some serious self-styling education. It will bridge the gap between the high street and home when 200 stylists (or EGOtists as we prefer to call them) provide all the hints, tips and stylist advice to help women recreate all the hard work their stylist has achieved when they’re at home.

To celebrate the big day, EGO had a landmark event at Neville Hair & Beauty in Knightsbridge which was naturally all about the blow dry. Members of the public, press and celebrities were invited to join in the fun, and proceeds made will be donated in support of Macmillan Cancer Support.

“It’s a charity that’s very close to our hearts and we thought we’d make this an extra meaningful event by donating any money taken to Macmillan,” adds Kala Kilshaw-Laing, the founder of EGO Professional.

Beauty PR Fair IdHAIR attended the first Beauty PR fair in Copenhagen. Here were a mix of hairdressers, consumers and journalists spending the afternoon looking at beauty products. IdHAIR had a very busy day demonstrating the new ego Twist and ego Therapy. About 300 passed through the stand that afternoon and evening.
