“Fonamental” is a proposal that starts from the foundations of the Plaza. The subsoil physically conditions the Plaza due to the presence of two parking floors. [...] From the analysis of the place, this intersection between levels was detected as a place of opportunity. Acting in the central longitudinal strip could not only improve the integration of the different spaces of the Plaza and its surroundings, but also connect, nurture and articulate new possibilities for the future of this public space. Where the wall used to divide, now there is a new topography to interact (bleachers). Where people used to cross in the dark at night or under the sun in summer, now there is shade and illumination at night to walk (pergola). Where there was no activity, now there is a new space that would give life to the Plaza (polyvalent space).

Camper shoe brand, purchased a series of neighbouring plots around the Plaza and asked MVRDV and GRAS to develop a renewal plan that echoed Camper’s philosophy of combining heritage with innovation and creativity.
The seven diverse buildings, each executed in a different colour and material, add 60 rental homes in a variety of styles and sizes intended for local inhabitants who work in the surrounding area, as well as additional commercial space. The many bright colours, emphasised by the Mediterranean sun, advertise the vibrancy and rejuvenation of the neighbourhood. Each of the buildings brings not only its own character, but also unique amenities, with facilities such as restaurants and bars being public while amenities such as pools are accessible to residents of all buildings within the plan.

PROJECT Pitch (2024).
Nio House Abu Dhabi, invites you on a journey inspired by earth and sky, infused with the spirit of the city. A memorable experience, blending NIO’s identity with local values.
The Gallery is welcoming with a reduced design, elevating NIO’s identity with innovative, locally-inspired details. Transformed into a space that honors shared values. We strived to maximize site features, creating an optimized gallery with visibility on both facades and a versatile sunken club

PROJECT Product & graphic design.
Along with Irene Peukes, the founder of PLA and fashion designer, I helped co-directing the firm, from graphic to furniture design.
TSP + TSM shelves are designed with the traditional “solomonic leg” as the main feature. They are meant to be light and delicate shelves were to showcase the handcrafted PLA products.
Posters, lookbooks, brochures and first ideas for a new website, are part of the work done for PLA. Along with interior design advise.
Concept / the goal of this project is to achieve the design of a building where the inner walls do not have direct contact with the facade in most of the floor. The purpose is to avoid inner corridors, creating a unique outline that distributes the rooms at the same time that has other uses. After several layout designs this has come to generate a skin around the apartment, which is also an active part of it.
Due to its disposition in the inner facade of the building, it gets all the possible light. For this reason, all the rooms facing it are open, their only enclosures consist of curtains and eventually, sliding doors.
Design / the corridor around the inner facade of the building is wide enough to also allow the performance of other functions or activities, such as certain sports, children home playgrounds, storage...
The main concept is to let the inhabitants design their own distribution as the sanitary installations are divided in four cores and distributed in a way that allows a mildly random or sofly guided distribution of the rooms. The project contemplates the possibility of distributing the houses in more than one level.
A glass room arises as a communal area in the hall of each floor. The whole community would decide their uses, which could be and elderly or children active area, an actual indoor greenhouse, a yoga/meditation space, a simple living where to read, knit... In short, the same space along the floors of the building, where to perform any of the previous activities as long as the inhabitants of the building agree.
The project also contemplates the inclusion of a space that would be shared, in this case, only with the owners of the unit of one floor. They would decide where to locate it, if it would be open or closed and also its use.
In summary, two collaborations: one between the owners of the floor and another regarding the welfare of the community which would imply the consensus of all of them as this spaces are shared and anyone could use them, so the distribution or design would need to be supported by the unit on its whole.
An outdoor mesh metal curtain which wraps the facade & which is adjustable from the inside by users.
Flexibility is the key of the project. To be able to move around and use the space with the maximum freedom, at the same time that the place is offering visibility and real interconnection.
A continuous corridor which acts as a layer behind the facade. It is both a distributir and a performing area, thus, an active oart of the apartment.

PROGRAM Meeting point/Spiritual self retreat.
ORIENTATION Main volume faces south - east.
PROJECT Reform and extension.
Concept / a same space where to generate two offers based on different and opposite needs. The slim personality and distributive flexibility of the interior space offers to the user/s the opportunity of appropriation in this brief period of time. Simplicity in spatial behavior is interwoven with the landscape.
The meetings in group are indefinite in time and in form, for what in every use, a new unpredictable situation arises where the space answers with rapidity, as it does it when it is a question of an independent use, since thanks to a series of distributive blocks, the interior space limits itself to offer a control major for the only occupant.
Design / the context and surroundings as a common scenario were the paired programs will take place. Nature plays a key role, as it openly receives and thus, soothes which draws upon the isolated condition into a magnet of disconnection, in both company and intimity.
The light impersonality of the interior space offers to the users the possibility of appropriating ti it in this brief period of time, which close to a distributive flexibility, the integration of the volume with the context and the capacity of adjustment to the way and his climate changes, establishes a respect based on the game of the mobility and the practicality, where there is kept always a simplicity of behavior that is woven by the landscape.

ORIENTATION
Municipality of Sineu
A dirt road, a fence and two volumes. This becomes the base material of the project, accompanied on every angle by a smooth and friendly landscape that acts as a backdrop.
The existing elements of this project do not have any architectonic aesthetical interest, they are merely concrete and sandstone blocks walls, without any kind of conditioning or habitability facilities. This materiality, along with the neglected state of the building and the location itself, give the whole an impersonal appeal.
On the other hand, the visual material is made up by everything else that the view can reach, being it essential to the place and its distinctive charm. the breadth of the flatness, the ringing of sheep bells or the smell of wild fennel, are sensory experiences as remarkable and essential as the good execution of a functional architectural design that merges with them.
The goal of the project is to achieve a relation and easy connection between the user and its environment, to create an instant bound and understanding of its sorrounding, to make the user another participant in this scenario.

Friends and family meetings are better when they develop indefinite in time and form.
Calmness and conviviality are generally two conditions difficult to overlap. The first one demands a wider diameter of self-space while the other is merely about coexisting, regardless of size but how you organize it.
Independent and selfconstructed environment demands more pause and accompaniment.
A new unpredictable situation can arise in every use, therefore, the space has to be ready to solve it rapidly.
A series of distributive blocks delimits the interior space to offer a major control to the occupant/s.
The main idea is to extend the use of this space to all seasons of the year, creating blocks that attend and focus to the needs depending on the months, making this place a moldable and flexible space, but also ordered.

The change that will help to unify the complex will be the internal connection between pre-existing elements, as well as other modifications that will favor fluid use and contact with the natural
environment. The uses are divided into 3 interspersed blocks, so one is part of the next.
Therefore, the transition through the blocks is gradual in terms of seasons, beginning in winter and ending in summer, maintaining a progressive and patient sense, without losing the characteristic rural aesthetic of the place, which predominates both in the landscape and in the attitude of the users.
HERMETIC BLOCK:
Block that includes the base actions, especially in the cold seasons. In it will be located the wet, preparation or living areas that house furniture and other objects. This also houses the electrical register, the storage of firewood and the new location of the agricultural storage area (above the cistern). For security reasons, it must allow a hermetic seal when closing and leaving the space.
CONECTOR BLOCK:
This block hosts part of the HB, continuing with a semi-open porch to the outside (without the possibility of enclosing), intended for a more versatile use, focused on the summer season, where the Bh can be opened by an intermediate piece of furniture that divides and connects them at the same time. All this area is raised to enhance and give prominence to the landscape that is offered on this side, where we find some steps that descend to the ground and connect with the next block.
OUTDOOR BLOCK:
This last block consists of the porch plus the safareig (Mallorquin pool), which is located 15m from the architectural complex. This area is completely open and consists of a 2x5m swimming pool to cool off in summer and a small area next to a tree to enjoy the views in the shade and in company. It is slightly away from the complex with the aim of creating a route to a more isolated place, which works at the same time as the delimiter of the enclosure.

PROJECT New built swimming pool and solarium.
Kitchen renovation + outdoor’s extension.
Concept / a kitchen reform in a farm located in a rural area of Mallorca. The client is a single person who owns and eventually works the land and his orchard. The design is meant to evoke the esence of the rustic and mediterranean rural tradition. Simple and original materials such as clay, wood and typical Mallorcan fabrics.
Design / the aim has been to merge functionality and comfort in the cooking area such as in the preparation and storage areas. While the most important goal was to ensure a considerable storage space as to update the space by thermal isolation. Due to the owner’s activity, the distribution is focused on facilitating a new direct acces from the orchard and outdoor space. There we find a swimming pool near a limestone bench in which the family gathers in summer.

A humble kitchen with old fashioned devices, furniture in a random diposition which prevents a fluent circulation. In the kitchen we find an old wood oven and an old terrazzo sink. There is a division from the kitchen and the great storage room.
In total we find three windows and an acces to the outdoor landing (A) that composes the entrance. On the other side, the kitchen faces the mountain and a corrridor to the swimming pool, which is isolated from the house.
The new plan proposes a different distribution, where the storage space demanded will be divided by a smaller storage room and three closets placed in the dining area.
The kitchen continues facing west but now with an extra window (which has ben enlarged) and the transformation of the former window into a door that enables now the direct access to the orchard and the swimming pool area.
There are some original details that have been redesigned, such as the original bench where the water vase was always placed by the owners and a niche.
Materials and lightning are natural, soft and rustic, although with a contemporary twist. Two clay lamps made by a local artisan have been chosen to illuminate the dinning table. Aditionally, all the storage furniture has been designed specifically for the client.
