Effects Of Biosphere

What is the biosphere?

The biosphere is made up of the parts of Earth where life exists in all ecosystems.

Natural Resources

A natural resource is a material found in nature that humans and other living things can use.

Natural Resources

NON-

RENEWABLE RESOURCES

RENEWABLE RESOURCES

are natural resources that can be replaced in nature or will not run out.

are natural resources that are found in a limited amount on Earth's surface and will eventually run out.

Renewable Resources

Non-Renewable

Minerals
Resources Fossil Fuels
and Metals

Human activities can harm natural resources whether renewable or non-renewable resources.

These material s made up of natural resource s. Paper                Trees Glass            Sand Metal Plastic              Natural gas, Coal
Even though some human activities can harm natural resources, we can make choices to protect them. Conservation is a great way to help protect the natural resources on Earth.

What is Composting ? Natural way of recycling.

• Compost garbage, grass, and leaves. • Use the compost to feed plants instead of using chemical fertilizer.

Protecting plants and wildlife

Plants and animals get what they need to survive from Earth's resources.

Still, there are many that do not get what they need to survive and are considered endangered or become extinct.

Extinct Endanger ed

Animals or plants dying out completely.

Animals

or plants at

risk of becoming extinct. Human activities are partly to blame for this.

How Human activities

can lead to an organism to be endangered or becomes extinct?
Pollution in the form of litter and acid rain. These can especially affect ocean ecosystems, which are home to a wide variety of organisms.

Destroying an animal's habitat

Humans may be overfishing Or destroy an animal`s habitat that led to animal be endangered or becomes extinct.

Asian Elephants

Habitat destruction is a major reason why Asian elephants are endangered. It occurs when an animal`s habitat is destroyed and the animal can no longer live there.

In Asia, the elephant's habitat is being destroyed by humans to make roads, clear land for farming and houses, and construct dams. When elephants' habitats are destroyed, they have nowhere to live or eat.

Poaching

Another threat to ecosystems because of human choices is deforestation.

What is Deforestation?

Deforestation is the removal of large areas of trees.

DEFORESTATION IS THE REMOVAL OF LARGE AREAS OF TREES.

THESE TREES ARE USED TO MAKE GOODS, AND THE CLEARED LAND IS USED TO BUILD STRUCTURES.

THE ANIMALS THAT LIVE IN THE FORESTS ARE FORCED TO MOVE. THEY MAY NOT BE ABLE TO FIND ANOTHER HABITAT THAT HAS THE RESOURCES THEY NEED.
