NEWS FROM OUR CONTRACTS: CORPORATE SECURITY
THE LTA RE-AWARDS ITS SECURITY CONTRACT TO ICTS UK & IRELAND
The Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) has once again selected ICTS UK & Ireland’s Canine Security Division for the provision of security services at its tennis tournaments, including the 2022 Rothesay Open Nottingham (4-12 June) and the 2022 Cinch Championships played at The Queen's Club in London (13 - 19 June).
This marks the fourth year of ICTS working in partnership with the LTA. ICTS explosives detection dogs and their handlers have worked behind the scenes to ensure the safe running of what are iconic events in the international tennis calendar.
“We are delighted to carry on working with the LTA. Our Dog Teams provide a versatile, mobile and rapid screening service which is non-intrusive, efficient and well received by the public. Urged on by a distinct hunting drive, sniffer dogs can detect a wide range of items including drugs, explosives, pyrotechnics, etc. ICTS Teams remain the only ones to hold the Home Office Explosive Detection Dog Standard, the National Canine Training Accreditation Scheme – Private Security Sector (NCTAS-P) accreditation”, said Andy Dodds, Head of Canine Security Services, ICTS UK & Ireland.

OUR EXPOLOSIVES DETECTION DOGS AT THE 2022 COMMONWEALTH GAMES

ICTS’ Canine Security Division worked behind the scenes ensuring that the 2022 Commonwealth Games (28 July - 8 August) were a success. All eyes were on Birmingham as more than 5,000 athletes from around the Commonwealth group of nations competed in 280 events across 19 sports during the 10 days of the Games.

“The Commonwealth Games were a thrilling and joyous festival of sport. It was a privilege and pleasure for our Dog Teams to work at such a high-profile event. A lot of planning and working in close collaboration with multiple agencies took place in order to deliver that essential added layer of security that a dog and its handler provides and that is recommended by the Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure” said Andy Dodds, Divisional Director – Canine Security Services, ICTS UK & Ireland.

NEW EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH SCHEME INTRODUCED FOR OUR TEAM AT AMERICAN EXPRESS
Congratulations to Seamus Doherty who is the first ICTS staff member at American Express (AMEX) to have won Employee of the Month, a new scheme introduced in July 2022.
Every month the best performing staff member will win the Employee of the Month award and a £50 ‘Love to Shop’ voucher.
Seamus was recognised for his excellent customer service. The following is an extract from a statement received by AMEX from one of its employees:
“I am a new start (wk 2) who works hybrid across our London & Brighton offices. Last week, in my first visit to 1JS, Seamus went out of his way to ensure I had the correct access to site and car park. Whilst the system had some issues, Seamus arranged it so I could park my motorcycle in the car park and met me at the turn stiles, so I had access to the building whilst my access was approved. His manner and help meant so much on what was a nervous first day at 1JS. He was polite, professional and personable and left a fantastic impression. I am not sure of how the security services work, whether he is even eligible for (AMEX’s) Blue Awards, but if he is not, I wanted to provide feedback on a exceptional employee none the less.”

ICTS’ long-term partnership with American Airlines is set to continue as the airline re-selects ICTS as its trusted security partner. Our aviation security teams will continue to secure American Airlines at 12 airports in Europe, including Dublin.
The partnership between American Airlines and ICTS dates back to 1986 when ICTS was selected to design and set-up a brand-new security system for the airline. This collaboration marked the start of what have been more than three decades of continuous innovations and development of our aviation security services and products.
“Since the beginning of our collaboration with American Airlines, we have enjoyed a mutually beneficial relationship and together have progressed and built upon our reputation of excellence. Over the years, a very special and genuine partnership has developed between ICTS and American Airlines. Both companies have consistently invested resources and know-how in upgrading the delivery of security services, striving always to remain at the forefront of aviation security”, said Bill Keane, Key Account Manager ICTS Europe for American Airlines.
“Our longstanding partnership with American Airlines confirms that our organisations work well together. We are committed to continuing to provide outstanding service and to support American Airlines for the years to come”, said Ronen Remetz, Executive Vice President, ICTS Europe. “I take this opportunity to thank our ICTS teams for a job well done, including our specialist aviation trainers around the world who have worked hard in preparation for the busy summer season.”

The Airport invested in building a new rest room which includes a separate kitchen and new locker room for ICTS staff members. We added the luxury of a TV mounted on the wall.
