Chewton Glen is a quintessentially English, privately owned luxury Country House Hotel & Spa on the fringe of the New Forest. Historic documents suggest the luxury property was built in the early eighteenth century, with land and premises known as “Chewton Glen House” appearing in 1732.
Capt. Frederick Marryat stayed for periods of the 1840’s, gathering material for his famous novel “The Children of the New Forest”. Clearly, the captain was inspired by the property’s exquisite location on the edge of the New Forest, set upon 130 acres of beautiful grounds. Between 1947 and 1967, Chewton Glen had three different owners, but it was the Duval family who first made Chewton Glen a hotel. No doubt its familyowned influence has sealed it as the family-friendly retreat it is today. Now, Chewton Glen continues to develop, winning countless national and international awards and accolades. From being an author’s inspiring forest retreat to the “Best Country Hotel in the World”, it has a captivating past, and an exciting future.

THE LAKE SUITE
The Lake Suite overlooks the gardens and parkland, reminding you that you’re in an English original. The largest of our luxurious private rooms, it is flooded with natural daylight and has French doors that open onto the stunning grounds. Equipped with state-of-the-art technology, it is perfect for inspiring meetings of up to 140 delegates or private dinner parties of up to 140 guests. It sits on the ground floor and boasts a separate office and reception area. It also has a separate lounge area for welcome drinks.
CONSERVATORY, SUMMER HOUSE & OAK END
Step into an enchanting retreat flooded with natural daylight, with large French doors leading on your private terrace. Celebrate in a light and airy conservatory, with beautiful views overlooking the Hampshire grounds.
THE GARDEN ROOM
A bright and lively room with artwork and mirrors on lightcoloured walls, The Garden Room is a lovely suite. It’s a more unusual choice with an on-show wine cellar in one corner. It’s perfect for larger occasions for up to 80 guests.
THE WINE ROOM
Our Wine Room is a beautiful glass-fronted cellar which provides a perfect private room for smaller parties, suitable for up to 20 guests. The central table is surrounded by the glorious wine chillers, showcasing a vast array of fabulous wines.
THE CLUB ROOM
The Club Room is on the first floor of the hotel. With warm rich colours and flexible accommodation, this suite can accommodate up to 16 guests for meetings or private dining.
THE LIBRARY
This elegant luxurious boardroom is conveniently located in the courtyard entrance of the hotel. Flooded with natural light, this meeting room can accommodate up to 16 delegates. The large boardroom table, when not used for meetings, can be converted for a game of snooker.
THE WARDROOM
The Wardroom is a thoroughly modern boardroom which combines efficiency and ease of use with elegance and unparalleled luxury. Located on the second floor, the Wardroom can accommodate meetings of up to 20 delegates.
