SUPER JEEPS

GLACIER WALK & ICE CLIMBING

4X4 SELF DRIVE

SNOWMOBILES

Super Jeeps are heavily modified 4wd jeeps that take from 4 – 10 pax per vehicle. The tires are huge,

This trip takes place at the frozen glacial tongue that is Solheimajokull Glacier. It is an otherworldly scene, rugged, raw and ever changing hub of ancient frozen water. Walk on the glacier and observe the spectacular surroundings. Then we find an ice wall on the glacier and try our hand at ice climbing. We will provide you with all the tools you need: ice axes, crampons and safety lines. The safety line will make sure that even though you lose your grip you will not fall to the ground.

For those looking to take their adventure a little further with more adventure, more fun and a bit of a teambuilding, we suggest a “do it yourself” version of most of our jeep tours. These self drive tours are in modified 4x4 vehicles on 38 inch tires and all connected with VHF radio, seating up to 5 people and are accompanied by a leading vehicle and a professional, certified Iceland guide ensuring safety and providing detailed information about the handling of the vehicle and our country.

Imagine the world of ice and snow, cruise on the biggest glaciers in Europe. Enjoy the endless white plains of the glacier and the laughter and the excitement in the air make this activity one of the most popular we have on file. Snowmobiles are operated on 3 glaciers, which 2 are suitable for day tours out of Reykjavik. Each location has a mountain hut with facilities perfect for an ―after activity drink, lunch or even dinner.

HELICOPTER HOP A helicopter ride is not only about the view from the air but also the thrill of sitting in a helicopter. We can add a heli-hop to all types of tours by having the helicopter meet the group on route. For larger groups the helicopter will land and take the first group of passengers. They will then fly for ca 10 minutes and view the sights from the air, while the jeeps continue the tour. The helicopter then lands further down the route to take new passengers and return the first ones. This continues until everybody has had a helicopter ride. SNORKELING IN SILFRA

KAYAKING

GOLF TOURS

The Silfra fissure is one of Iceland‘s best kept secrets. Silfra, which is situated in the heart of Þingvellir, the site of the world‘s oldest parliament, is an otherworldly scene. The crystal clear glacial water in the deep fissure gives you a feeling of being weightless as you float down with the lazy cur-rent. This is a relaxing and exotic trip in an environment most will only encounter in their dreams.

At sea or in narrow canals, the participants travel on kayaks along the unique landscape. The kayaks are stable and easy to use. You do not need prior experience since your guide will teach you the technique on location. Apart from being an unusual way to explore nature, paddling a kayak is a very peaceful and amusing entertainment. The kayaks used are so called “sit-on-top” kayaks, which are the safest kayaks avail-able and have become very popular over the past years.

If you like to try golf in Iceland then you have about 70-80 courses to choose from, many of them are 18 hole courses and the rest 9 holes. Many golf courses enjoy beautiful scenery such as mountains and lakes. An experience you won’t forget is golfing in Iceland during summertime when the light summer nights mean that you can spend 24 hours a day on a golf course.

Greenland

GREENLAND WINTER ADVENTURE Ammassalik is the largest town in East Greenland with about 1,400 residents. It lies just south of the Arctic Circle and boasts long hours of daylight in the summer and the splendor of the northern lights in the winter.Ammassalik is only a 10-minute helicopter ride from Kulusuk, but this short flight is one of the most scenic expeditions imaginable as you cross the ice-filled sea separating these two mountainous islands. The town is beautifully situated in a protective fjord with high mountains on all sides. It is split in two by a river, which flows through the valley of flowers behind the town. This valley has a unique Arctic flora and is an ideal place for walks of all lengths Hotel Angmagssalik is fully modernised, yet retains its friendly, informal style. The hotel has 40 rooms and a small conference and meeting center.

Greenland

Ilulissat is beautifully situated at the mouth of the 40-kilometre ice fjord filled with enormous icebergs produced by the most productive glacier in the northern hemisphere, the glacier Sermeq Kujalleq. It’sone of few glaciers within the Greenland ice cap which reaches the sea. Ilulissat is located on the west coast of Greenland, 250 km north of the Arctic Circle. 4,000 people live in Ilulissat and not less than 6,000 sled dogs. This is an eloquent statement of the importance of the dogsled as a means of transport, even in a large modern town. Regular boat trips are scheduled in the fjord, where you will sail between floating icebergs of all dimensions. Hiking trips and helicopter tours are also available. You can therefore easily admire huge icebergs up close that come loose from the glacier and crash into the sea HotelArctic’s has 87 rooms and a new conference centre, can provide top-class rooms, decor, climate and AV-facilities for 120 participants. The heart of the conference centre is the assembly room, the Greenland Room, which can also be converted into a theatre or concert hall. In addition to the Greenland Room with its group rooms and meeting rooms, we also have a smaller assembly room with a number of meeting rooms.
