Above All Else Dear Research Friends and Family,
In this issue:
Breast Cancer Awareness Month is here. And Mental Health Awareness Week is October 4-10.
PAGE 2: Welcome New Physicians and Leaders
This month, we certainly want to celebrate our Sarah Cannon Cancer Center for the mammography and other breast services they provide, and thank Research Psychiatric Center (RPC) for the huge scope of inpatient and outpatient services we offer in a region so underserved in psychiatric care.

Check out pg. 3 to read more about RPC’s 30th Anniversary and the move of the Teen/Adolescent Unit from RPC to 7W, while the Adult Unit moved from 7W to RPC’s inpatient wing. This took a lot of planning and coordination. Thank you teams! Research Medical Center and Research Brookside have been busy offering mammography to new patients and patients who have been coming here for years. Our new 3D technology is popular but we also still offer 2D technology for physicians and patients who determine the advanced imaging isn’t always necessary. Please encourage your friends and family to get a mammogram. There’s more information at ResearchMedicalCenter.com about breast cancer prevention, including who needs these services and when. Many of you know we are looking at ways to make patient registration more convenient for our patients and their families. At Research, we not only want to help our patients get well, we want to offer them easy access and a wonderful overall experience in our facilities. To meet these expectations, we need to provide even better conveniences. Simply stated, our physicians and care teams provide the best medical care in the region. Let’s figure out how we can also enhance the “experience” we offer. If you have ideas or thoughts about relocating patient registration to A Level or have some other ideas to share, please let your director or me know! We improve when we all work together. Thank you for your commitment to this great organization! And I hope you can get out and enjoy this beautiful fall weather with your friends and family!
