Since I was a kid, I always had a strong passion for architecture, so I began my career as an intern project manager in one of the notable architecture firms located in Lagos, Nigeria. During my time there, I gained valuable knowledge and experience. Following my internship, I secured a position as a design associate and worked my way up to become a senior design associate, and also received my professional diploma within two years.

My design style is often described as timeless and distinctive, with a preference for clean lines, curves, textures, and pastel colors. However, I'm always willing to accommodate the design styles and needs of my clients from the hospitality, commercial, and residential sectors.

When I'm not designing, I enjoy reading, writing, and exploring. As a curious individual, I find joy in discovering new things!

Project Overview

Febi recently moved to Lagos island and purchased a warehouse building to locate her wellness center to provide services such as retail, consultation, massages, hydrotherapy, and recreation. She wants the design to focus on detailed plans for all spaces and design concepts for select spaces. She also wants the spa to feel Welcoming, Tranquil, & Sophisticated.

Design Approach

By splitting the warehouse into two floors and utilizing an open layout, a modern and useful area was created. The arched windows with black steel frames enhanced the interior of the structure with a sophisticated, contemporary vibe. The incorporation of smooth and curved lines, shapes, and organic materials gave the space a contemporary ambiance.

Vinyl flooring and a mixture of neutral tones along with splashes of color reflect the character of the area and create a welcoming feeling. All of these design choices come together to form a unified, inviting, and comfy atmosphere.

An open and easily accessible space layout is important for creating a smooth flow of movement from one area to another. This is achieved by using clear sight lines and allowing for plenty of natural light to enter the space. Neutral materials, such as light-colored walls and flooring also help to create a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. Additionally, using furniture and decor that is not too cluttered or overbearing adds a sense of openness and accessibility to the space.

Placing the reception area to the left of the entrance creates a welcoming and approachable space for guests. The use of curved elements, such as armchairs and pendant lights, as well as the rounded edge on the reception desk adds a touch of elegance.

The retail area next to the entrance allows for easy access for guests. The use of a 3-in-1 short round product display in oak and marble finish, combined with dropping pendant lights and tall display shelves provides a serene and relaxed environment for guests to shop and explore.

At the far right corner of the reception, the waiting area is located to provide privacy for guests. Using curvilinear furniture, combined with floral wallpaper adds visual interest and creates a comfortable area for guests to wait and relax in.

Using LED strip lighting along the contours of the ceiling and tube wall lights to accentuate curved and linear walls creates a beautiful ambiance and adds depth and dimension to the space, drawing attention to the unique shape and architecture of the walls.

The wet and relaxation areas are on the first floor to prevent moisture and for privacy. Wooden tiles is used to prevent slipperiness and dim lights to create a cozy mood. Dark wooden ceilings and grey walls also add sophistication. Overall, these design choices helps create a comfortable and relaxing environment for visitors.

MASSAGE ROOMS

The combination of grey textured wallpaper and grey herringbone pattern floor tiles in the massage rooms creates a moody and relaxing environment for clients. A storage unit and a countertop washbasin with a faucet are added to the room to provide practicality and functionality. The use of grey tones throughout the space creates a cohesive and elegant design.

FOOT MASSAGE ROOM

Light grey textured wallpaper combined with a marble floor finish creates a luxurious and elegant look in a spa or salon. An arched built-in product display adds interest and function to the space. Raised foot massage seating such as a pedicure chair, can provide a comfortable and relaxing experience for clients. A soft green armchair paired with artwork on the walls and white sheers for added softness creates a tranquil atmosphere for a manicure or foot massage. Overall, this combination of elements can create a welcoming and luxurious experience.

Project Overview

Seyi owns a liquor business and is looking to expand. He runs only a store currently but wants to incorporate a private lounge for business meetings and a bar area to unwind and watch games. His target audience is business moguls. He wants the ambiance to be luxurious, and lively, but not too loud or chaotic and conducive for conversations.

Design Approach

To upgrade the store, the plan is to divide the area and put in framed and tinted tempered glass doors to create specific zones for different activities. The concept includes dark walls, spotlights, and a blend of wood, marble, transparent glass, and iron to give it a luxurious and mysterious ambiance.

To make it both useful and attractive, the furniture, colors, and materials are thoroughly chosen to go together and give off the desired look. To add some extravagance, large custom-made wine shelves are integrated to be the centerpiece of the space.

Project Overview

Jason and May just returned from a resort vacation in Florida and want to upgrade the interior of some spaces in their home. They live in Eko Atlantic city, Lagos, Nigeria by the seaside, and would like their ensuite guest bedroom and kitchen overlooking the ocean to have a coastal and contemporary feel.

Design Approach

The coastal bedroom and kitchen design elements, principles, and trends are linked with the sea, sand, waves, and seagulls. The use of white color contrasts, blues with wood accents, and hanging lights creates a peaceful atmosphere. The use of natural materials like wood and seashell-like bedside lamp gives this interior look a relaxed and coastal feel.

The design concept is intended to give a characterful, holiday vibe that leaves a lasting impression. All proposed layouts are well thought-out, with carefully considered finishes.

The bedroom is a medium-sized bedroom with the bed placed against the wall at the center of the room with the nightstands on either side and the accent chair close by. The TV console with an incorporated reading table and chair is located in the opposite direction of the bed.

This drawing shows the ceiling layout of the bedroom. Spotlights arranged along the perimeter of the ceiling and pendant light bulb hung on wooden beams helps to create a cozy and warm feel, as well as add visual interest to the space.

An accent chair is placed near the window to take advantage of natural light and to create a relaxing spot to sit and read or watch the view. A rug is placed under the bed for added texture and warmth.

Sheer white curtains add a light and airy touch, while bamboo roller blinds provide privacy when desired and add a natural and rustic touch to the space. This cohesive look is inspired by tropical or beachinspired decor style

Project Overview

Lara has just rented a flat in Parkview Ikoyi and wants to renovate the interior to run her law firm practice. She doesn't want an overhaul due to landlord limitations, but wants a vibrant, serene, and elegant workspace. A comfortable and happy place for employees. Lara intends to retain design elements from her previous office space and wants to focus on a few select spaces.

Design Approach

This workplace design was made to be vibrant and striking by using elements like the brand colors, olive, and mustard, as well as incorporating motifs from the logo; like the shield on the wall. The custom wall mural and glass partition create a neat separation of the meeting area from the reception. With plenty of lighting and sleek furniture, it's a great space to work in.

A fresh, light, and serene design concept with a modern interior brand, perfect for an office of any kind. A vibrant yet serene reception area, a compact and cheerful small meeting room, and a light, bright, and elegant conference room are all featured in the design concept.

A bright, welcoming space that exudes the elegant feel of one of the world's leading law firms, but with a personal touch. This mood board helps create an environment that facilitates business objectives. The distinctive and classy look of the space will provide confidence to clients and staff alike.

A well-designed interior can bring energy and vibrancy to a space, which is why we created this mood board. The vibrant colors and elegant elements incorporate the organization's brand while also allowing it to feel inviting, comfortable, and relaxed.

Modern and bright, the reception area is designed to greet clients as they enter through the big glass doors. The reception desk blends into the background and allows people to walk in without being interrupted by it. The clientele has lots of natural light and ventilation, so the room can be cheerful yet tranquil at the same time.

A bright and open room with a mix of wood and carpet tiles and soft lighting set the tone for the conference room. The use of carpet tiles in the small meeting room and conference room is an excellent way to create a warm, welcoming space that is also practical and cost effective.

The overall design concept is intended to showcase the dynamic nature of the practice while providing an environment where the staff can work efficiently and have an overall positive work experience.
