UMF revises and enhances its range of models:

A total of seven exciting novelties at the starting line. Next to them, any hotrod looks like a rickety wooden toy! Those in the scene have long known that FREDDY is a potent freerider. But UMF is even outdoing itself for 2012. The finest ink flowed from the company’s own engineers to design a 180 millimeter bike with VPP rear fork that is unrivaled! The UMF designers have “shrunk” the frame to an almost shameless 3.1 kilos (without shock absorbers) even though a powerful tapered steerer guides the massive front fork and of course there are thru-axle rear dropouts. With the FREDDY Team as well as FREDDY 1, two models have been available since June 2011; both are available in three frame sizes with unlimited bike park approval! All is prepared for laying a wire to hydraulic seat posts, which provides a powerful sign that the R&D Department understands its craft optimally…

Not one bit less innovative, but with a look – as long as it is not moving – somewhat more reserved is the second new development from our company: The HARDY M-U is the first freestyle fixie from UMF, and it enables the most stylish moves thanks to its clever design. With its dwarf-sized 407 millimetershort chain stay, the HARDY MU turns faster than Kati Witt in her prime! Thanks to the stable 50 millimeter handle stem, you have a great hold on the bike at every turn; the wide 700*35C tires are not only comfortable, but are also very forgiving if you make a mistake or two trying out freshly learned tricks. The HARDY MU is also available in three frame sizes.

Talking about frame sizes, how many BMX riders are there for whom our Brad Race is either too small or too big? Correct: not many, because the bike has been designed optimally. But for the few who want our BMX offspring smaller or bigger, our engineers have additionally developed the Brad Race for 2012 as ProXXL and MiniS models! Racers the size of a German oak reach for a Brad Race ProXXL (180 to 195 cm body height), which is still as light as a feather at 9.1 kilos thanks to the carbon fork and saddle post. And up-and-coming race pros between 1.10 and 1.25 meters tall will like the 7.7 kilos of the Brad Race MiniS. Now, nobody can really complain anymore...

Anything else? Of course! The DUNCAN is getting a new downhill frame in two colors and three sizes. With its 63 degree steering angle, the bike proves to be a thoroughbred racer; the total weight of a light 17.8 kilos is a perfect match – completely ready to race! More?

Yes! The HARDY STEEL 2 RIGID is the new steel fork model, which is a whole 1.3 kilos lighter compared to the suspension fork version and provides increased control for cool street moves! The 24 inch model is available in two colors and weighs 13.2 kilos.

Finished? Not yet! Because now even very small style riders can ride the BRAD ST. Starting in 2012, there will be a model with small 16 inch wheels. The equipment is of course just as good as that of its big brothers: axle pegs, single speed and rotor.
