New Faces on Team IIS
We are very pleased to introduce you to some new faces at IIS. Mr. Oladele Alawode, IGCSE Computer Science and ICT Teacher and Ms. Rhoda Noah, Grade level Teaching Assistant, Mr. Afeez Oloyede, Junior School ICT specialist, is also joining the Senior School Teaching Team where he is now teaching Compu ng in Year 1.
We know many of our students (and parents!) were looking forward to our first Sports' Day since 2020, but unfortunately we had to postpone it due to challenges with the recent insecurity in town. Don't worry though! We are sure we will be able to reschedule this event soon!
Senior School Commenda on Awards
The Senior School Half-Term commenda on awards reward students who put in lots of effort during lessons, ac vi es, assignments, group work and class discussions in their various subjects. These awards come up every half and end of term, and the subject teachers decide the recipients by also taking into account their academic performance. PYP
Parent Webinars
Parent Webinar: The IB PYP Evalua on Process
The first PYP Webinar for this term focused on the Interna onal Baccalaureate PYP Programme Evalua on Process, also known as the PEV. This webinar familiarised the parents with the Programme Evalua on Process and the role of all the stakeholders involved.
Whole School Parent Webinar: Google Classroom at IIS
During this one-hour session, we covered the basics of how our students access and navigate Google Classroom while learning remotely. One of the major benefits of using Google Classroom is that our students, Grade 4 all the way to Senior School Year 4, can access lessons, materials and assignments at any me of the day as long as they have access to internet connec on. In addi on to suppor ng Remote Learning, this allows the students to review lessons and materials easily to support on-going learning, homework, and revision.
