IARA ALMEIDA
INTERIOR DESIGNER
Hello, I'm Iara Almeida, a Brazilian interior designer currently based in Los Angeles. With six years of experience in the field, I am passionate about transforming ideas into reality and translating dreams onto paper.
In my journey as an interior designer, I've come to believe that a designer holds the power to bring visions to life, creating spaces that reflect both functionality and aesthetics. My focus primarily lies in residential projects, where I strive to weave the unique stories of my clients into the fabric of their homes.
Having immersed myself in diverse design challenges, I have also had the privilege of contributing to several corporate projects. The ability to seamlessly transition between residential and corporate design has enriched my understanding of spaces, allowing me to bring a versatile and creative approach to every project I undertake.
Explore my portfolio to witness the marriage of creativity and functionality in the spaces I've had the pleasure of designing. Each project is a testament to my commitment to turning spaces into personalized, harmonious environments that exceed the expectations of my clients.
Thank you for visiting, and I look forward to the opportunity of collaborating with you to bring your architectural visions to life.
Best, Iara Almeida
beagá house
The Beagá House was designed for a couple looking for a retreat in the city. The entire process of concept, design, and project execution was carried out together with architect Fernanda Ferreira. One of the main challenges of this project was the implementation of a mostly one-story residence on a very steep slope. We used different resources to minimize earth movement and take advantage of the view from the location, which is one of the highlights of the project. The project includes a spacious and integrated house for a couple of musicians who like to host family and friends.
Beagá House values gathering, and its openings allow for a full use of space. Integration and generous openings were important premises for the project's conception.

ITABIRA HOUSE
I collaborated with architect Fernanda Ferreira in the design and execution of the Itabira residence in Itabira, Minas Gerais.
The house was designed to meet the client's desires for a modern and cozy residence, prioritizing the flat area of the lot and considering the existing vegetation on the sloped part of the site.
Important premises were considered in the project's execution, including natural ventilation and lighting, pre-existing site conditions and vegetation, as well as flexibility and openness of the spaces. To achieve this, features such as large openings, skylights, and integrated environments were incorporated.

Nomos was born out of the need for a space that brought together architecture and other professionals in the creative field. With shared workstations, a room for small meetings, and a kitchenette, the goal was to have a spacious environment whose layout could be adaptable to host small events, meetings, mini-courses, etc. The aim was to bring people together with complementary activities and ideas that connected like a large shared network of contacts.

FAR.ME sp
In the vibrant city of São Paulo, Brazil, our Far.me project, undertaken in 2023, is currently in its final stages of completion. This innovative venture is dedicated to providing comprehensive support for polymedicated patients, and our task was to create a warm and inviting office space and break area that seamlessly embodies the brand's colors and values.
At the intersection of functionality and aesthetics, our design team collaborated closely with the Far.me team to weave an office environment and cozy break area into the fabric of their workspace. The challenge extended beyond the physical space; it aimed to encapsulate the essence of the brand within the architectural elements, fostering a sense of comfort and familiarity for both patients and staff.
The result is a harmonious blend of contemporary design and the unique identity of fAR.ME. The office exudes warmth, complementing the brand's ethos, while the pantry area is not just a break space but a retreat that echoes the vibrant spirit of São Paulo.
As we approach the finalization of this project, we take pride in achieving a design that not only meets the functional requirements but also elevates the overall experience for those interacting with the space. Stay tuned for the unveiling of the completed fAR.ME space, where innovation meets comfort in the heart of São Paulo. WORK TYPE Academic | UNISA 2016
