Santa’s Dodgy Sleigh
Dodge is preparing for the end of year push with a new series involving Santa Claus and a new sleigh powered by a 797-horsepower Challenger Hellcat Redeye engine. The Dodge is being made for a commerical for a social media campaign as the holidays approach. Each update will follow along the build process of Santa's sleigh in a format similar to many of the car restoration shows on television. The team goes to work to produce the new sleigh powered by the 6.2-liter supercharged Hemi V-8 from the Hellcat Redeye, dual exhaust tips, and seven-passenger seating. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration might not approve, but it looks badass. It turns out that it is, in fact, a real Dodge Challenger widebody that has been modified for this use. It even has a start button that starts a real engine. When asked if it was driveable, we were told no because it has "runners instead of wheels," but that doesn't make it non-driveable in our bookyou just need, determination.

"Back to the Future" DeLorean Hovercraft Okay, so it's not an actual DeLorean. The body is made of insulation foam capped with fiberglass and hand-painted to match the real DeLorean's stainless steel finish. It all rides on a homebuilt hovercraft chassis based on the Universal Hovercraft UH-13PT, with a 23-hp Briggs and Stratton thrust engine and a separate Briggs and Stratton engine powering the hover fan. Builder Matt Riese started the project in 2008, completing it in 2012, and he's been refining it ever since. Now, after some extensive maintenance and upgrading, Riese is offering the DeLorean hovercraft for sale on eBay with a buy-it-now price of $45,000, with 10 percent of the sale price being donated to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinsons search. What can you do with a hovercraft DeLorean? Riese enjoyed taking it to festivals, surprising unsuspecting fishers and boaters, and cruising around "McCovey Cove," the marina abutting AT&T Park, home of the San Francisco Giants.

The Ferrari F80 Prancing Pony is A Favorite Christmas Present Could this 2015 concept be a follow-up to the LaFerrari? Probably not, but we still think it's cool. Ferrari is not known for showing restraint. Neither are their fans. The LaFerrari hybrid supercar is a 1,000 horsepower dynamo that challenges the manhood every other car ever made. Of course, Ferrari essentially invented the supercar back in 1987 when they unveiled the F40, a car that rides the razor’s edge of perfection. So we’re highly appreciative of anything inspired by the F40. This F80 Prancing Pony concept, created and designed by Adriano Raeli, is a little Christmas present from Raeli to the world and back to you again. Should Ferrari—or anyone, really—build it, the F80 would be powered by a 900-horsepower V12, which will in turn be fed another 300 horsepower KERS system. According to our calculator, that’s an obscene amount of energy. Merry Christmas, world.

Valencia GP: Dovizioso wins chaotic race, KTM scores first podium

MERRY CHRISTMAS & A HAPPY 2019 TO ALL THE CAR CLUBS After meeting in Albir the northern group drove to San Juan to join up with the southern members before taking the mountain roads to IBI (known for toy making), then passing the village of Jijona famous for nugget manufacturing,and while negotiating the winding bends the big cats began to resemble a multi-coloured snake taking the bends with ease until the coffee bar stop came into view , and the cats were lined up while their owners had a refreshment and photo shoot. When the group proceeded on their journey it didn’t stop some of the convertibles from having their hoods down as the temperature became cooler,and on a straighter section of the road with fabulous views the full length of the convoy could be seen ,which attracted waves from local workmen ,and photos taken by cyclists who watched as the cats cruised by in a complete uninterrupted line of jaguar splendor The destination was Caseta Nova in the countryside of Ibi and after a super lunch 16 members stayed over for the night to enjoy a night out in the town at the Caprixo Gastrobar,and the next morning after breakfast they took a tour of the toy museum of ibi . Range Rover Evoque Gets Hybrid Tech To Cut Emissions
Land Rover is adding fuel-saving plug-in and mild hybrid powertrains to the new-generation Range Rover Evoque The Evoque joins the Range Rover Sport and Range Rover in offering plug-in hybrid options. Land Rover will add a 300-volt plug-in hybrid will toward the end of next year. The Evoque's all-wheel drive versions will be available with a 48-volt mild-hybrid that adds a belt-driven starter-generator to capture energy lost in braking and add electric assistance under acceleration. The engine will also shut off below speeds of 17 kph (11 mph) to save fuel and reduce CO2 emissions. The most fuel efficient mild-hybrid diesel version has CO2 emissions of 149 g/km, Land Rover said. Electrification is key to reducing JLR’s CO2 levels below the agreed 135 g/km average needed to avoid fines when the European Union introduce tougher CO2 emissions limits for new vehicles in 2020/21. JLR’s average European emissions are currently at 178 g/km, the company said earlier this year. JLR said last year every new model will come with electrified options from 2020 onwards. With loads of new technology which includes a camera system that gives the driver a frontal view on the dashboard that creates the effect of looking through the car’s hood. Called "Ground View," it is useful when parking or going off-road, Land Rover said. Also available is a windshield mounted screen to replace the rear-view mirror to give a wider-angle view behind the car, similar to the system used by Cadillac. The Evoque is available with the same twin-screen Touch Pro Duo as used by the Velar, which positions two 10-inch touchscreens above one another on the central dash. Safety technology includes radar-assisted adaptive cruise control with a steering assist function that centers the car within its lane. The cabin can be trimmed in a range of high-end fabrics designed to give a premium feel without needing to specify leather. They include Kvadrat wool blends, and Dinamica, a suede substitute. The entry Evoque is a two-wheel-drive 148-hp diesel that starts at 31,600 pounds ($40,500) in the UK. In Germany its prices start at at 37,350 euros. Land Rover started taking orders for the new Evoque on Thursday with the first cars due to be delivered early next year in the UK and the rest of Europe
