• Dorthea Dix Park is a historic site in Raleigh,
• North Carolina.
• Previously the State Asylum, the grounds have been re-purposed
• as one of the largest urban parks in the state.
• However, huge tracts of land in the park are empty.

• This project seeks to add a non-intrusive shelter on a large
• hill overlooking the site and city. The goal is to create a
• location for people to rest as they explore the
• greenway below. •
