AMERICAN TOURISTER MOONLIGHT

Working with American Tourister, under Samsonite, has brought me the opportunity to bring new life to print designs. These reworking of prints was geared towards our Moonlight/Burst lines sold at Kohls, J.C. Penney and online.

Moonlight offers personality to the traveler who wants to bring whimsy and fun to every part of their journey.

The Checkered suitcase came from the opportunity to present Target with a new collection that offered style in a subtle yet elegant way, all with the Target shopper and store experience in mind.

CAD The Checkered effect was created through the use of hatching perpendicular embossed lines. Even though all the lines are evenly spaced , when light is shined, one can observe how the horizontal lines become darker than the vertical and vice versa.

2016 Summer Q Design

BAUHAUS FURNITURE

The inspiration for this side project came after noticing a revival of Bauhaus during the summer of 2016. With plenty of designers exploring minimalism, the basic forms of cone, sphere and cube of the Bauhaus came to a new light when mixed in with contemporary elements.

2016 Summer Q Design for Berco Inc

Berco Project

During my summer internship with QDesign I had the opportunity to design stools for Berco and their upcoming line, Platform. The design for these had to be simple in form, low in production cost, durable, but most important, able to aesthetically complement the booth/bar combinations for Platform.

These stools are currently being developed and will be in production for the end of 2017.

“ Design a piece of furniture using only pine 1x2’s, dowels, and another material of your choice withought using any glue and mechanical fasteners. The kit should be simple and easy to assemble, with the least amount of parts possible. ”

Fika is a swedish word that translates as

"Taking a break for coffee and a bite to eat", But it means more than that, it's a moment

to relax to catch up with your family and laugh with your friends.

Assembly

Inspired by the Swedish term “Fika”. I decided in translating the aroma and warmth of coffee using a grainy black wood color and a warm leather seat.

Dedicating time in making sure the side of the chair looked up to par with its front, and celebrating this by using its silhouette in the cover of the packaging. The inside includes a short excerpt explaining the meaning of “fika”. This design can be easily put up in 7 steps that the user is guided through visuals presented in the box.
