Welcome to our FOURTEENTH Major ONLINE ONLY AUCTION! OS 14 will again be held over 2 days! The large amount of material we have received (1,060 Lots) means we will again be running this live Online Only Sale over 2 nights! Note: As we will be running the Auction over 2 nights, we will NOT be issuing final invoices until Friday the 6th December, and will start posting lots on Monday the 9th. As there are a lot of larger/heavy sized items, please wait until we have checked your invoice and added the correct amount of postage and insurance to it before paying. OS 14 comprises an excellent assortment of interesting, collectable and rare items from a wide cross selection of 45 vendors (with one Estate). There are several good sized collections on offer (especially in Decimal Notes), and some excellent value rarities, along with more than 100 unreserved lots and a quantity of bulk items. Highlights include a very rare 1951 PL Proof set, comprising of 4 coins, Halfpenny, Penny, Threepence and Sixpence. Struck at the Royal Mint London, this set is well matched, with some attractive light old tone (the copper has much mint red), with all of the coins have been PCGS graded. With the start bid at $20,000, this equates to only $5,000 a coin, an absolute bargain for Proof coins of this quality and rarity. Other highlights include a superb MS 63+ 1914H Florin, numerous Pre Federation banknotes, a MacIntosh and Degraves silver Shilling, a very cheap Adelaide Pound, a 50 Cent 1981 struck on a Hong Kong $5, a George V full Obverse Brockage Penny, a 10 Pound 1925 Kell-Collins (R 54) in aEF and so much more. Note: We have been getting a lot of unpaid auction accounts, averaging at least one per sale. Due to the strict Qld Trust Account laws we operate under, we have no choice but to pursue these through debt collection and the court system. Ultimately this ends up costing us time and money, delays vendor payments and means we have to re-offer lots we have already sold before, even on small purchase amounts. Please ensure that you have sufficient funds to pay for any items bid on within 14 days of the sale, as we really don’t want to continually be put in this unfortunate position. Don’t forget our major signature Live Floor Sale 91 in March 2020! This Sale will be our 35th Anniversary Sale, and we have some amazing highlights catalogued, including a superb 1920 Star Shilling and Florin pair, one of only 3 in private hands. See the website for a preliminary write up of upcoming highlights and more details. We are taking quality lots for Sale 91 NOW as well as for our other six sales throughout 2020. See the website for more details, and don’t forget – you can consign completely all online! Remember, NO COMMISSIONS for all Sellers means you will get more in hand when you sell with us!

1920 Dot above bottom scroll. London die (English) Obverse variety. The Obverse rim is weakly struck and flat as is common for this type, thus preventing the counting of beads or checking alignment, however the other identifiers of the colon after IMP aligns with a bead and the narrow gap between the M and N is discernible.
