Useful Information before traveling to IAAPA Summit: Latin America, Caribbean 2023

LOCATION
Monday, April 24th and Tuesday, April 25th
Cancun Center Convention Center, Gran Cancun Room, Third Floor. Blvd. Kukulcan Km. 9, Punta Cancun, Zona Hotelera, 77500 Cancún, Q.R.
Wednesday, April 26th and Thursday, April 27th
We will tour several attractions in the Riviera Maya. Buses will pick up attendees at the main entrance of the Krystal Altitude Hotel (formerly the Krystal Grand) at 9 a.m. and will return approximately between 9 and 9:30 p.m. both days.
USE OF OWN CAR DURING THE EVENT
The Krystal Altitude Cancun hotel (formerly Krystal Grand Cancun) is located two blocks away from Cancun Center. The Aloft hotel is adjacent to Cancun Center. Access to parking at the Cancun Center is NOT included in the event.
To carry out the activities on the 26th and 27th, it is necessary that you use the transportation provided by IAAPA, since you will not be able to access the attractions or the tours independently.

REGISTRATION TYPES
Conference and Trade Connections - April 24th and 25th
Includes two days of conferences with simultaneous English-Spanish translation, lunches, exhibits, tours and receptions, and transportation to and from Cancun Center to tours and receptions. Accommodation, air transportation and transportation to and from the airport are NOT included.
Full Event - April 24 to 27
Includes two days (April 24th and 25th) of conferences with simultaneous English-Spanish translation, lunches, exhibits, tours and receptions, and transportation to and from Cancun Center to tours and receptions, PLUS two additional days (April 26th and 27th) of EDUTours with lunch and receptions, and transportation to and from the Krystal Altitude Cancun hotel (formerly Krystal Grand Cancun). Accommodation, air transportation and transportation to and from the airport are NOT included.
We will not have on-site registration. Only previously registered participants will be able to participate in the activities. All previously registered participants must go to the registration table in the foyer of the Gran Cancun Room, third floor, Cancun Center, on April 24 starting at 7:30 a.m. to collect their accreditation, which they must carry at all times. If you registered only for the Conference (green accreditation), you will only be able to participate in the activities on the 24th and 25th. If you registered for the Full Event (orange accreditation), you will be able to participate in all the activities.
IAAPA CONNECT+
We invite you to create an account on the IAAPA Connect+ application, the official IAAPA digital platform for events and expos, to connect with other Summit attendees and stay up to date with news, program, speakers, exhibitors and more. Access the application on your computer or download the mobile application on your cell phone. (Iphone or Android). Here you will find helpful information for using IAAPA Connect+.
DRESS CODE
Average temperatures: Minimum 22°C (72 Fahrenheit) and máximum 32°C (89 Fahrenheit). We suggest you wear business casual on the 24th and 25th, and casual on the 26th and 27th. The average temperature in the area is a minimum of 22°C and a maximum of 32°C. Attraction tours are educational in nature and do not include active participation in any attraction, with few exceptions. It is not required to bring a bathing suit or change of clothes. We suggest you bring a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen for the tours on April 26 and 27.
IAAPA CERTIFICATION
Your participation in the event earns you 13.5 credits toward your IAAPA Certification renewal if you participate in the Conference only, and 24.5 credits if you participate in the entire event.
SAFETY AND SECURITY PRECAUTIONS
We extend the following recommendations to ensure your safety during the event. Both Cancun Center and the Krystal Altitude Hotel have closed circuit surveillance and security.
• Avoid going out alone at night. We always suggest you leave accompanied or wait for your transportation inside the hotel.
• Do not to carry valuables in plain sight, including jewelry, cell phones, or computers.
• Use the event accreditation only inside the Convention Center and the EDUTours. Take it off before going out.
• Locate emergency exits in case of earthquake or fire.

IMMIGRATION REQUIREMENTS
Upon arrival in Mexico, you will only need to present your current passport and the Tourist, Transmigrant, Business Visitor or Visitor Advisor Immigration Form. The form can be obtained free of charge at travel agencies, airlines or at the point of entry. A COVID-19 vaccination certificate is NOT required to enter Mexico. Some countries may require a visa to enter Mexico. Please check beforehand if you need one to enter Mexico.
NON-EXHIBITING MANUFACTURE AND SUPPLIER ATTENDEES
The event has an exhibition floor where you can meet our Trade Connections exhibitors. Attendees who are NOT exhibiting are strictly prohibited from soliciting business in the exhibition area or in public spaces or at another company's booth. IAAPA reserves the right to ask those who engage in this practice, known as "Suitcasing", to leave the event immediately without any right to a refund.
CODE OF CONDUCT
IAAPA provides the attractions industry with meaningful events that include education, networking, and market access opportunities in an environment that promotes the exchange of ideas, information, and resources. IAAPA's goal is for everyone who attends our events to have a positive and rewarding experience, including attendees, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, volunteers, and IAAPA team members.
The following Code of Conduct provides guidelines to ensure that all participants understand what behavior is expected and what behavior will not be tolerated during the event. This includes eventrelated social events at off-site locations and all online and social media communications related to the event. IAAPA has the right to expel any participant from the event who does not comply with this Code of Conduct, without the right to a refund. In addition, IAAPA requests that both attendees and exhibitors report any observed violations to IAAPA staff.
• Harassment: IAAPA events provide a harassment-free, respectful, and inclusive experience for everyone regardless of gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, neurodiversity, physical appearance, body size, ethnicity, national origin, race, age, or religion. Participants must
refrain from any harassing, demeaning, abusive, or discriminatory behavior, including inappropriate photography or recording.
• Violence: There is a zero-tolerance policy for any display of violence, threats of violence, or violent language directed against another person. This includes profanity, obscene gestures, and sexually explicit offensive language.
• Insult or Denigration: It is strictly prohibited to insult the work, ideologies or services of people and companies attending IAAPA events.
• “Suitcasing”: Any non-exhibiting attendee who solicits business on the exhibit floor or in public spaces or at another company's booth will be asked to leave the event immediately without any right to a refund.
• “Outboarding”: Defined as marketing, sales and hospitality events carried out by exhibitors and others that capitalize on the presence of buyers and/or sellers who attend the original event. This practice is unethical and subject to expulsion from the event of the participants involved.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
• This event is not suitable for attendees under 18 years of age.
• The event includes attractions tours that require physical effort. Some attractions may have restrictions on use depending on the physical conditions of the user.
• IAAPA reserves the right to take, record, and use photographs, videos, recordings, or any other records of the event for legitimate purposes, including commercial advertising.
• IAAPA Privacy Policy.
COVID PROTOCOLS
The use of face masks during the event is not mandatory. However, we reserve the right to recommend that any participant showing symptoms compatible with COVID wear it, or even request that they refrain from participating in the activities and take a COVID test. We will have face masks available to attendees. Wash your hands and use hand sanitizer frequently.
