Windfield Wade Rosina EX93 5E

Rosina Windfield Wade Rosina EX93 5E is a tremendous example of the genetic bedrock at Windfield. With a lifetime production to date of 123.8 tonnes of milk she is currently in her 12th lactation, having an average calving interval of 365 days. This tremendous production, conformation and longevity was recognised with an IHFA Diamond Award when she surpassed 3,000 kgs of Protein production. Sired by Parker Aero Wade, Rosina and her seven daughters in the herd have laid a solid foundation. She was the herd’s first cow 100 tonne cow, and produced over 7,000 kgs of milk solids, lifetime yield. Windfield Louson Rosina VG 88 has averaged 9,711 kgs Milk 3.42 % Fat 3.59 % Protein in three lactations with an average calving interval of 358 days. Windfield PGW Rosina VG85 is the newest family member to join the milking herd, she has a first lactation yield of 6,812 kgs Milk, 3.90 % Fat 3.79% Protein. Mary Windfield Mercy Mary EX94 7E also typifies powerful breeding. She is the matriarch of the impressive Mary family, being a Galtee Merci daughter of the founding Mary cow who was sired by Arderne Silver Beat. Currently there are fifteen members of the family in the herd. Windfield

Mercy Mary now in her 10th lactation, has an average production of 9,751 kgs 3.68% Fat and 3.38% Protein. She has a average calving interval of 366 days, an additional bonus to her admirable longevity. It was a very proud moment when she attained IHFA Diamond Cow status for producing 3,000 kgs Protein. Her current total lifetime production of 6.8 tonnes of milk solids sets a high benchmark. Mating her to Jocko Besne was to prove a wise

3.52 % Protein. Her fancy daughter by Boxer is a favourite within the calf pens! Irene It is factually correct that many of the prominent cow families descend from original purchases made by Tommy’s Father, J.P. Screene. One such family is the “Irene’s”; Windfield Elwind Irene VG87 produced 50 tonnes Milk, 4.12% Fat, 3.76 % Protein. Sired by Lisduff Elwind, she bred two daughters who have proven to be reliable brood cows. Windfield Willow Irene EX92 4E (by Callas Willow) produced 41 tonnes Milk, 4.03% Fat, 3.51% Protein in five lactations. There is a VG86 Alliance daughter in the herd with an average produc-

decision with two tremendous daughters in the herd; Windfield Besne 2 EX92 3E with an average production of 11,850 kgs milk in six lactations and Windfield Mary Besne 4 EX92 4E with an average yield of 10,120 kgs 3.39 % Fat, 3.49 % Protein. Mary Besne 4 allies good fertility to this production and longevity, having an average calving interval of 365 days. Her VG85 “Damion” daughter completed her first lactation with a yield of 9,458 kgs Milk, 3.38 % Fat, 24

tion of 7,020kgs Milk 3.87 % Fat, 3.60% Protein from two lactations. Windfield Dodge Irene produced 8,854 kgs Milk, 3.84 % Fat, 3.63 % Protein in her first lactation. Her sister Windfield Wyman Irene VG85 (1st lactation), has a projected yield of 7,705 kgs Milk, 3.83 % Fat and 3.55 % Protein. She has a promising Cogent Twist daughter that looks a solid prospect for the future.
