Basic Rules & Regulations for Playing Volleyball In volleyball, players work to return the ball over the internet in three strikes or fewer. International Federation and the USA Volleyball of Volleyball rule books supply the rules for men's and women's volleyball in America. Court The typical competitive volleyball court steps 59 feet long by 29.6 feet broad. The middle line runs dividing the court. An assault line runs 9 feet, 10 inches on the other side of the internet on either side of the courtroom. The attack line divides the front and zones. Players Both teams should have six players on the court to start play. Players follow the appropriate order. Players rotate on the court between six positions, including three positions in the front of the attack line and three positions behind the attack line. Every time a team gains the right to serve, its players must rotate one position clockwise. When the host contacts the ball, players can move to play the stage. Players in a position shouldn't attack the ball and in the front of the attack line. Serve Team captains finish a coin toss before the game to determine the team that will function. The player in the right place in the rotation serves the ball. To serve, players must stand behind the court's end line and hit the ball. The team of the server loses the point if the serve hits the net or lands out of bounds. The player continues to serve until a point is lost by his team. The other team gains the right to serve when a team loses a point on its function. Play Teams need to return the ball. Blocks don't count toward the group's hit total. If one player hits the ball twice in succession or contacts the ball her team loses the point. If a player strikes the ball his team loses the point. If any player Betufa touches the net or posts, her team loses the point. Teams win points when the opposing team commits a breach, fails to return the ball across the web, lets the ball touch the ground inbounds or hits the ball into the net or out of bounds. Scoring Points can be won by teams in their function and on their opponent's function, according to International Federation and the USA Volleyball of Volleyball rule books. The set is won by the first team to win 25 points. The first team wins the game. If the game goes to a fifth set, the first team to win 15 points using a two-point lead wins the set and the game. Rally Scoring The rally scoring system, which replaced at competitive levels, enables teams to gain points whether they served the ball. There is A point given whenever the ball hits the floor ends up in the net or is touched more than three times by one group. Games are played with the exception of the final game, and that, if a third game is necessary, is played to 15 points.
